We're already heading into mid-September ㅠ time really flies, ugh.. I had plans with a friend on a weekday afternoon, so we met downtown and went to an Italian restaurant we love!! haha It's 'Resting07'!? I'd never dare go on the weekend, but having a day off during the week means I can hit up a place like this with no wait, hehe.
Where is Resting07 in Dongseong-ro, and what are its hours and parking?
Resting07 is on the 2nd floor at 67 Dongseongno 3-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu. It's open from 11:30 to 21:00, with last order at 20:20.

On the stairs up to the second floor there were all kinds of photos stuck up — looks like they'll take one for you if you ask, hahaha.
Resting07 seating: 9 tables, including private rooms
Resting07's seating is split between regular tables and a more private space in the back! (2 window-side tables, 3 room tables, 4 tables in the central hall) That's 9 tables total. The inner seats are sectioned off, so they seemed great for anyone who wants a quiet meal!
On one side of the restaurant there was a display of various wines and liquor!

So many options.. it took forever just to pick our menu..
We ended up ordering pork neck pilaf, real carbonara, and sweet bacon frittata!
Pork neck pilaf at Resting07: thick slices of meat with the sauce
First dish to arrive!! Pork neck pilaf!? Visuals passed the test right away.. I'd meant to wait until everything came out to eat, but I couldn't hold back and dug in immediately, haha..
The sauce on top paired so well with the meat and rice haha, seasoned just right so you don't feel weighed down! The pork neck was seriously thick and generous — I was surprised.. I chewed so much meat my jaw got sore hahaha.
Real carbonara: Resting07's egg-based, authentic-style sauce
Next up was the real carbonara!? The sauce felt totally different from the carbonara I knew. Looked it up and it turns out it's the sauce style of true Italian carbonara, where egg is the main base? The noodles themselves were chewy with great texture, and the sauce was thick and rich, melting right in! Personally, this was the best thing I ate that day.
Not sure what kind of noodle it is, but you should try it once..!
Sweet bacon frittata: the pizza you eat with a spoon
The last dish to come out was the sweet bacon frittata! Apparently it's 'pizza you eat with a spoon,' which was a first for me!? We'd already gone pretty safe with the pilaf and pasta, so I figured I'd try something different.
Can you see the cheese... stretching so long.
It's got bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and more inside, plus a generous amount of cheese, so it's savory and salty in the best way... After always ordering plain pizza, trying this frittata felt fresh and delicious!
My friend and I cleared the whole table haha.

Who should eat at Resting07?
Today I went to Resting07 in Dongseong-ro, Daegu? Overall, the food came out clean and well-made, and I especially loved the real carbonara! The atmosphere is pretty cozy too, so I'd highly recommend it if you're going on a date in Dongseong-ro or looking for a nice-vibe Italian restaurant!! Next time I'd love to try some of the other pasta dishes haha.
