Pepperoni pizza date at Otter Rabbit House, a Jongno café in Daegu
In short
Otter Rabbit House Jongno Branch is a brunch café newly opened at the entrance of the Jongno alley in Jung-gu, Daegu, and it is the second location after the original in Dowon-dong. On a date visit, the pepperoni pizza, spicy clam broth pasta, Baera-min ade and caffe latte all arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. The clam pasta with whole garlic cloves was more memorable than the pizza, and with only 8 to 9 seats, Otter Rabbit House Jongno Branch is best visited in the quiet hour after lunch.

There's a really good brunch place in my neighborhood, and it just opened a new branch in Jongno, so I went to check it out. Let me introduce Otter Rabbit House Jongno Branch 🤍

Where is Otter Rabbit House Jongno Branch, and where can you park?
- ☑️ Located right at the entrance of Jongno alley
- ☑️ Near Gyeongsanggamyeong Park
- 🅿️ There's public parking near Gyeongsanggamyeong Park too
- 🚨 It gets crowded with cars nearby, so I'd recommend parking near Dongseongno or somewhere else with available spots before visiting
A second branch of the Dowon-dong original: a new brunch café in Daegu's Jongno

Otter Rabbit House Jongno Branch is the second location. The original is in Dowon-dong. Dowon-dong is honestly hard to get to unless you live nearby, so I was so happy they opened a new one in Jongno 🥹
I'd visited the Dowon branch and gone back countless times, so when I heard about the Jongno opening, I came for a date 🩷

The exterior felt antique and serene, like stepping into a European brunch spot. Doesn't it fit the word 'Jongno' perfectly ✨ Since it's summer, there's a cherry bingsu (shaved ice) standee at the entrance 🍒 It looked so delicious.
Only 8 to 9 seats inside: when is the best time to visit?

- ☑️ There are 8-9 seats total
- 🕖 We came after lunch, so there were plenty of open seats
With such a varied brunch menu, it was a great spot to visit either for lunch or during that awkward time before dinner.
☑️ I'd recommend this place to:
- Anyone who wants to enjoy brunch in a pretty, atmospheric space
- Anyone wanting a light meal
- Anyone who wants to relax over coffee
- Anyone stuck in that in-between meal time
Ordering at the kiosk and the one-drink-per-person rule
You order at the kiosk by the entrance! ☑️ If the kiosk feels tricky, staff at the counter can take your order too.
When I first visited, there were so many menu options I couldn't decide what to get 🤔 The menu board has detailed photos of each dish, which really helped me choose ✨

There's coffee, tea, and even wine to go alongside your meal ☕️
- ☑️ Brunch dishes cannot be packed to go
- ☑️ You need to order one drink per person
First to arrive: Baera-min ade and caffe latte

We ordered a Baera-min ade and a caffe latte, plus pepperoni pizza and an oil pasta 🍕 The Baera-min ade combines pear, lime, and mint 🍋 It's refreshing and clean-tasting, seemed like a good match for the brunch dishes.

☑️ The food came out about 10 minutes after ordering. It was just as pretty as the café's interior, and it arrived quickly while we were sipping drinks and chatting ✨ Even the plates had a great vibe at Otter Rabbit House.
How was the pepperoni pizza?

Pepperoni pizza 🍕 It's loaded with pepperoni. The thin, warm crust wasn't too heavy — just tasty and easy to finish ❤️
Spicy clam broth pasta with whole garlic cloves

Spicy clam broth pasta 🐚 A spicy, savory clam pasta. Honestly this pasta was more delicious than the pizza for us 💛 There were quite a lot of clams, and the whole garlic cloves mixed in were exactly to my taste.
