I was looking for a place where I could eat delicious bread and have coffee at a leisurely pace, so I went to Pine Terrace in Goyang.

Pine Terrace, a large café in Wondang, Goyang — exterior and parking
The exterior was clean and the place was quite large, so I was already looking forward to it before even going in. The space extends up to the second floor, so it seemed like a good fit for anyone looking for a Goyang bakery café with room to spread out.

There's private parking at both the front and back of the building, and it's free to use with plenty of space, so it was easy to visit by car.

Why it's good to visit with a baby: the small zoo behind the café
Behind the café there's also a small zoo, so if you visit with a baby, it seems like a nice spot to eat bread and then look at the animals. Sometimes it's hard to sit for long at a café with a child, but here you can also watch the animals, so among the large cafés in Wondang it looked like a good option for a family outing.

1st floor bakery and 2nd floor floor-to-ceiling window seats
Once you go inside, the first floor has both the bakery and the café seating area together. Overall it feels spacious and comfortable, and there are plenty of seats so it was easy to pick the spot you wanted. The tables and chairs come in various shapes, so it seemed fine whether you're visiting alone or with a group. Especially fitting for a large café in Wondang, the space is roomy enough that it didn't feel cramped even with a fair number of people around.

Going up to the second floor, the mood changes with the floor-to-ceiling windows installed there. With natural light coming into the interior, the space felt even brighter and warmer, and drinking coffee while looking out at the view outside felt healing just by sitting there.

On a nice day, you can also open the windows and spend time leisurely feeling the breeze. If you're looking for a large café in Wondang with a space that doesn't feel stuffy, this is one you'd like.

Bread varieties and ongoing events
Pine Terrace really had a wide variety of baked goods. From basics like white bread, salt bread, manju (steamed bun), pastries, sandwiches, king twist salt bread, baguettes, and bagels to many other kinds, and they also sell cakes and desserts.

Buy ₩30,000 or more of bread and get one item free, bread is half price every day at 7pm, and there's a review event too — worth keeping in mind!

The drinks lineup was also varied, from coffee and lattes to smoothies, ades, teas, ice cream, and healthy fresh fruit juices, and there was a separate juice option for kids too, so it seemed fine to visit with a baby.

How was the food we ordered?
That day we ordered a ham egg sandwich, sausage potato bread, and 2 iced Americanos.

I wanted the iced Americano light, so I ordered it as a 0.5 shot haha. It wasn't very acidic so I enjoyed it.

Ham egg sandwich
The first thing we tried, the ham egg sandwich, was really beyond expectations. Lettuce, tomato, cheese, ham, egg, and more were packed inside the bread, and because the ingredients were so generous, every bite had layers of flavor. The bread itself was soft and nutty, which suited it well — personally, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while.

Sausage potato bread
And the sausage potato bread is a menu I really want to recommend haha. The sausage is thick and hearty, and between the sausage and the bread there's a generous amount of potato mousse packed in. This potato mousse is really the key point!

You could really taste the soft, nutty flavor, and it went well with the salty taste of the sausage too. For us, this bread was the top menu item of the day.

Would I go back? Final thoughts
Honestly, at large cafés there are often so many kinds of bread, but sometimes the taste falls short compared to the price. But Pine Terrace was satisfying because the bread itself was actually delicious. On top of that, you can watch the bread being made on the first floor, which made me trust it even more. It was a Goyang bakery café I'd want to visit again for properly good bread.

If you want to enjoy delicious bread and coffee in a relaxed space, this is one I'd recommend. Especially if you're looking for a café to visit while on a drive with a baby, give Pine Terrace a try. The bread was so good I wanted to keep it as my own little secret find — a Goyang bakery café I'd want to bookmark for myself haha. Next time I'll have to try picking out a different bakery item one by one. I recommend it to anyone looking for a large café in Wondang!
