Yukhoe restaurant in Gasan, Seoul for a three-dish spread: Yukhwang

Today I went to check out a new yukhoe (raw beef tartare) spot that opened in Gasan hahaha

Yukhwang is located at 101 Gasan Digital 2-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, Hallla One&One Tower Bldg. A, 1F, Unit 121. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00 with last order at 20:20, and closed every Sunday.

Inside Yukhwang: is there room for groups?

Inside, Yukhwang has tables arranged in a straight line. There are sofa seats and table seats, and since reservations are possible, I think groups can use the place too haha.

Yukhwang's menu and how to order

At Yukhwang they give you a menu book so you can look it over comfortably and order! They said they give one free bowl of rice per meal menu ordered!

They also said a gopchang (beef tripe) hot pot dish is coming soon, so there seem to be a lot of good lunch options too haha. We ordered yukhoe / yukhoe bibimbap / half plate of suyuk (this yukhoe uses 1++ hanwoo eye of round). Mungtigi can be ordered Tue–Fri after 16:00, just so you know!!

And if you join the review event, they give you a half plate of suyuk and bite-size yukhoe, so definitely participate!! (Honestly, a half plate of suyuk is basically insane value right..? You have to do it!! lol) Here's the origin label~

From the side dishes to the yukhoe bibimbap

Here are Yukhwang's basic side dishes haha. The seokbakji (radish kimchi) and salted squid were so good, I finished a whole bowl of rice on these alone! Man, even the side dishes are legit~!

The taste of fresh raw beef... the color is so beautiful..

Man, the yukhoe really looks so appetizing right. They said the yukhoe is seasoned with a soy sauce base by default! And next came the half plate of suyuk~

Man, isn't this so good? They also gave us a soy dipping sauce to go with it 🤤 (this soy sauce is really a highlight... and finally the main yukhoe appears!!

They gave us sesame oil and salt sauce, seaweed to eat it with, plus pear and minari (water dropwort) too!! 👍🏻 aah so good~~

They say Yukhwang uses 1++ hanwoo eye of round for its yukhoe. This place really seems like the real deal.. everything came out on the table~~ 🥺

Let me try a bite of yukhoe dipped in the sesame oil with the minari that came alongside.. .. I'm losing it.. no need to explain, it's first-grade eye of round so it just melts~~~~🤤🥹

Yeah, honestly one photo says it all as a review. Went with a friend and we cleaned every plate with the kimchi too lol.

Would I go back to Yukhwang?

Definitely would come back ⭕️ The yukhoe was so good, and especially the yukhoe bibimbap was seasoned with soy sauce in a light, understated way that was really delicious!! And the suyuk was also clean and fat-free, exactly my style ㅠ I'm super looking forward to the lunch menus too, so I'll be back once more!!

And with that, a very satisfying meal comes to an end!!
