The tables were spaced comfortably enough to make the meal relatively relaxed, and while it works well for friends, the atmosphere suits couples just as nicely. The place is really pretty.

Choi Dining Daejeon Gwanpyeong uses table pad ordering, so I could take my time browsing the menu right at the table. With noodles, rice bowls, and side dishes all on offer, I picked the Couple A Set, which is great for sharing between two people.

Finally, the Couple A Set we ordered started arriving one dish at a time. It's a great setup for sharing between two, and I liked being able to experience a variety of flavors instead of just picking one dish each.

This is the mazesoba. The sauce flavor was seriously so good. Noodles are laid underneath, and once you've eaten a moderate amount, you can ask for rice to finish it off.

Once the food arrived, the table filled up nicely.

The dontorodon. The pork jowl meat was seriously so tender. It had a proper smoky char worked into it.

It was fun sharing a bit of each dish and comparing the flavors. Digging into one dish in a big portion is nice too, but a set menu like this where you get to enjoy several dishes together really seems to boost satisfaction on a date.

The highlight of the Couple A Set: futomaki
