3-floor café in Sutonggol, Daejeon for chimney bread: Luonto

The weather has really cooled down, hasn't it? Last weekend I wanted to spend some relaxed time enjoying tasty dessert and coffee in Sutonggol, so I visited the Sutonggol café Luonto.

Location and getting to Luonto Sutonggol Branch

You can reach Luonto Sutonggol Branch via the Sutonggol one-way road, but going up alongside Doan Golf Course also gets you there comfortably.

Parking and the exterior atmosphere

Arriving at Luonto Sutonggol Branch, the first things I noticed were the sizeable building and the lush green scenery around it. Parking is convenient since you can use the space on the building's 1st floor or the outdoor lot. It was nice not having to worry about parking when visiting a Sutonggol café on the weekend.

Step onto the 1st floor and a clean atmosphere with all kinds of little props greets you.

There's coffee beans and tumblers on display to browse, and you can also watch the chimney bread being made, which really gave it that dessert café feel.

Menu and how to order

The menu ranges from coffee like Americano, café latte, and vanilla latte to scones, cakes, and chimney bread. If you're looking for a spot to chat over tea or just take a break, this is worth keeping in mind.

You can order and pay through the kiosk. This time I ordered plain chimney bread, cinnamon chimney bread, and an Americano.

2nd floor seating and the outdoor terrace

After ordering, I went up to the 2nd floor and found a seat.

This is the 2nd floor, and the space was really spacious and comfortable.

The view on both sides was especially good.

This is Luonto Sutonggol Branch's outdoor terrace, with a courtyard and even a small fountain, which made it feel really refreshing.

It seems like a spot that could work for a small outdoor wedding too.

The 2nd floor indoor space is also set up to accommodate various events.

Kids' chairs are available too.

There's also a self-return corner.

What's the 3rd floor like?

This is the 3rd floor. If you're looking for a spacious spot to chat over tea or just take a break, this is definitely worth keeping in mind. It was impressive that each floor has its own different atmosphere.

The taste of plain and cinnamon chimney bread, and the Americano

A little while later, our order arrived.

The plain chimney bread was nice and simple to enjoy, while the cinnamon one had a subtle fragrance that gave it a proper dessert-like charm.

Both come with whipped cream, so you can pair them however you like depending on your taste.

Drinking the Americano together with the chimney bread cleanly cut through the sweetness. If you like pairing coffee with dessert, this combo will probably satisfy you.

Real chimney bread is always so fascinating to see, no matter how many times I've seen it.
