Lately I've noticed my ends getting a bit dry, so I figured I should get a clinic treatment first before doing any color or perm.

So I visited Koara Haircare Gangnam, a hair salon right at Gangnam Station Exit 12! Being so close to the exit means it's easy to stop by before or after an appointment.

You go into A Tower, the building next to the McDonald's by Exit 12, and head down to B1. You usually waste time finding your way around a new place, but this one being so close to the station exit was such a plus!!

The inside was neatly kept, and the treatment seats had a comfortable feel.

On the outside my hair didn't look too bad, but my ends caught when I combed and felt dry and lifted. So instead of changing my style, I wanted to fix that dry texture first, and went with the Mucota Clinic.

I thought of this as a light clinic, but it took a full hour and a half with so many steps. There were three rinses in total, and the ozone care and aroma massage really showed how much care went into it. (The blue arrow points to the ozone care machine!)

Oh, and the shampoo chair had a massage chair function! (Every time I made small talk with the stylist, the back massage made my voice shake like crazy haha)

The hair care below happened behind a curtain, and the massage part alone was an hour, so I was like 'wait, I have to get to my appointment...!' But she came by in the middle to check on me haha.

They kept applying products in stages to help them absorb well into the hair. Since clinic results can vary depending on damage level and your home care routine, it seems important not to treat it as a one-time fix but to also cut back on heat tools and keep up treatments at home.

After the Mucota treatment: how did the hair change?

And here's how it looked after care! It wasn't a dramatic transformation, but the dry, lifted texture calmed down and got its shine back. Most of all, running my hand through it felt so much smoother than before, and I was really satisfied :)

Comparing before and after side by side, the difference in how tidy the ends looked and the overall texture was even clearer. It felt less like a heavy, weighed-down clinic and more like something that gently added moisture and calm to dry hair. My hair combs through so well now, I'm super, super happy with it!

What I liked was the location, right at Gangnam Station Exit 12! It was convenient to stop by between other plans, and the accessibility was great. I was also happy with how calm my texture felt after the treatment. That said, clinic results can vary from person to person depending on shampoo habits, heat tool use, and coloring/perm history. If you want the effect to last, I'd recommend keeping up with home care too!

If you want to smooth out your hair before coloring or perming, or you're stressed about frizz, I think the Mucota Clinic at Koara Haircare, a hair salon at Gangnam Station, is worth trying. For me, the calm, tidy texture afterward was what I liked most. The end!
