Seongsu pasta restaurant with a terrace: Huirit's bulgogi fettuccine

In short

Huirit is a Western restaurant in Seongsu, Seoul, down an alley three minutes from Exit 1 of Seoul Forest Station. Two friends shared burrata cheese salad, white bulgogi fettuccine and spicy tomato ragu fettuccine at Huirit, all generous portions priced in the high 10,000-won range. Beef Wellington can only be ordered with an advance reservation, so book ahead if that is the dish you want.

Today I want to write about Huirit, one of my favorite Seongsu spots, also known as a Seoul Forest go-to. It's easily in my top five Western restaurants in Seongsu. The terrace seating is so pretty, and every corner of the space is gorgeous — I immediately thought I have to come back here for my birthday. This is my honest review, so trust it <3

Where is Huirit? Down an alley by Seoul Forest Station Exit 1

Huirit is tucked down an alley! It's not hard to find, just pull up Naver Map and follow it. Walk down the alley to the right where you see Huirit's yellow sign, and you're there.

Inside Huirit: interior mood and seating, including the terrace

Soft lighting makes for a warm atmosphere — and FYI, photos really turn out great here 🤞🏻 your face genuinely looks amazing in the light. I'd recommend it as a birthday gathering spot in Seongsu. The space isn't huge, but there are quite a lot of seats. I kept wondering how they managed the layout @.@ — they keep distance between tables and still fit in plenty of seating.

Huirit's outdoor terrace seating

This outdoor space was my favorite part. On a nice day like this, relaxing outside with good food — does it get any better ~.~

A plate of Huirit's burrata cheese salad

Burrata cheese salad, 17,000 won

First up, the burrata cheese salad! It's packed with tomatoes and green grapes.

Burrata salad with tomato and green grapes

Both the fruit and the vegetables were fresh, and it was genuinely delicious.

Close-up of the large burrata cheese portion

The burrata itself was a really big chunk — I remember thinking 'wow, that's a lot' while eating it. If you visit Huirit, definitely order this salad.

Huirit's white bulgogi fettuccine

White bulgogi fettuccine, 19,000 won

The second dish, white bulgogi fettuccine! The meat has a bit of a braised-in-soy-sauce (jangjorim) vibe — not sure if you know what I mean. It's tender and melts in your mouth! This was totally my style. Even though it's loaded with cream, it wasn't the least bit heavy, and I kept eating more and more.

Fettuccine showing thick noodles and bulgogi

The fettuccine noodles are thick! Looking at the shape of the meat here, you can kind of picture the dish, right?

Look at that steam rising. I wanted to show you just how generous the portion is. This is genuinely an affordable pasta spot in Seongsu in the high ₩10,000s •• this taste, this portion, this price — unbelievable.

A plate of spicy tomato ragu fettuccine

Spicy tomato ragu fettuccine, 19,000 won

Next up, spicy tomato ragu fettuccine! Looking back, we ended up ordering only fettuccine dishes haha. Actually, we didn't realize Beef Wellington required advance reservation and just tried to order it on the spot ,, 🥹 they told us it wasn't possible, so we quickly swapped to this instead. Everyone heading to Huirit, please make sure to reserve ahead and try the Beef Wellington 🫶🏻

This dish also came in a really generous portion! Plenty of noodles and such a rich sauce. It was spicy and delicious (manageable even if you're weak to spice). My friend who came with me really enjoyed this one.

Is Huirit a good date spot in Seongsu?

I'd also strongly recommend Huirit for a date or blind date in Seongsu. It's quiet with a pretty atmosphere, so conversation feels easy, and the spaces are separated enough to give a private feeling. The food is genuinely great too. They also serve wine and highballs, so you can pick whatever suits your taste. For Western food in Seongsu, Huirit is the answer, no question 🪽🪽

Getting to Huirit and parking
