House-converted restaurant with 2nd-floor patio in Seongsu: Huirit
In short
Huirit is a Western restaurant in a converted house in a residential pocket of Seongsu-dong, Seoul, close to Seoul Forest. The space is split into a yard, a room, bar tables, and a 2nd-floor outdoor patio, and the writer pre-ordered Beef Wellington with a ₩10,000 deposit the day before, pairing it with truffle paccheri pasta and a glass of red wine. Just remember Beef Wellington requires advance reservation — otherwise this is a great Seongsu pasta spot with atmosphere to match.

Huirit! I found this place while looking for somewhere with great atmosphere in Seongsu.
It's a restaurant made by converting an actual house, so the space itself felt a little unusual from the start. It's also close to Seoul Forest, so it's great to stop by while on a Seoul Forest date, and since you can enjoy pasta, steak, and wine all together, I ended up visiting while searching for a good Seongsu date spot. This time I came to eat the Beef Wellington I'd pre-ordered, along with truffle paccheri pasta and a glass of wine.

Huirit is located in a residential area of Seongsu-dong. Since it's close to Seoul Forest, it's a good spot to visit for a meal after wandering around there. It doesn't have the busy vibe of Seongsu's main street — being tucked inside a residential neighborhood gives it a more relaxed feel. So I think it would also work well for people looking for a good spot along a Seoul Forest date course.

A converted house — from the yard to the 2nd-floor patio
Huirit isn't a restaurant in a typical commercial building — it's a space made by converting an actual house.

So from the moment I arrived, it felt different from a typical Seongsu-dong restaurant. It's a house tucked inside an alley, used as-is, so even the exterior has a charming feel.

There's a yard out front, which makes it even more unique. You can spot converted houses like this around Seongsu fairly often, but since Huirit also makes use of the yard, it felt less like a restaurant and more like being invited into a pretty house haha.
These days when looking for a good Seongsu date spot, taste matters but so does atmosphere — and on that front, this place really impressed me.

Even stepping inside, the feeling of a converted house remained. Instead of a typical restaurant layout with rows of tables, the original house has been divided into several separate spaces.
On one side of the yard, there's also a space that functions like a private room. It's separated from the other seating, so it seemed good for anyone who wants a more private meal.
Inside, there are regular tables as well as bar tables — the bar table looked like a nice option for two people dining together.

And here's another highlight of Huirit — going up to the 2nd floor, there's outdoor seating too. On a nice day, sitting on the 2nd-floor patio to eat or have a glass of wine seemed like it would feel really nice.
Even within the same restaurant, there's a variety of spaces — yard, room, indoor tables, bar tables, and the 2nd-floor patio — so it was fun just looking around. It made me feel like this isn't just a Seongsu-dong restaurant you come to for the food, but somewhere to enjoy the atmosphere too.

What we ordered and the prices
Huirit serves a variety of dishes including pasta and steak, and we ordered mostly what we felt like eating that day.

Since I love pasta, part of the fun for me is hunting down good Seongsu pasta spots, so whenever I visit somewhere like this I end up ordering a pasta dish haha.

There was also a receipt review event running at the time.
Beef Wellington: pre-order with a ₩10,000 deposit the day before

The dish I was most looking forward to that day was the Beef Wellington!

We had pre-ordered the Beef Wellington the day before our visit.

We paid a ₩10,000 deposit to pre-order it, and since it's not a dish I eat often, I was even more curious about it.
The moment it arrived, the look of it alone was striking. With pastry wrapped around the outside and meat inside, it was definitely a different feel from a regular steak.
Cutting into it, the pastry outside was crispy and the meat inside was tender, and the texture worked really well together.

Being a meat dish, it paired even better with red wine. It's a good dish to order for a special occasion or when you feel like trying something you don't usually eat.
That said, since Beef Wellington needs to be pre-ordered, I'd definitely recommend confirming the reservation before your visit if you want to try it!
Truffle paccheri pasta

And the truffle paccheri pasta I was looking forward to while searching for a good Seongsu pasta spot! Paccheri noodles are thicker and bigger than regular pasta noodles, so the texture felt a bit different from the start.

You can taste the truffle quite noticeably, so anyone who loves truffle would probably enjoy this a lot.

The cream-based sauce paired well with the paccheri noodles, and it also went nicely alongside the Beef Wellington.

With two of us, ordering one Beef Wellington and one pasta made for a perfect combination.

Personally, the pasta was one of the dishes I was most satisfied with that day. So if you're looking for a Seongsu pasta spot that also has good atmosphere, Huirit is worth putting on your list.
A glass of wine

We also ordered a glass of wine to have with the food. We went with red, and it paired really well with the Beef Wellington, as expected.

Adding a glass of wine to the delicious food made the atmosphere even better. Maybe because it's a converted house, it felt a bit more relaxed than eating at a typical restaurant. So for anyone who wants to enjoy wine along with their meal, I'd recommend this as a good Seongsu date spot!
