Hawaiian burger and draft beer at Bas Burger Seongsu, Seoul
In short
Bas Burger Seongsu is a handmade burger restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, near Seoul Forest and Ttukseom Station. The writer ordered a Hawaiian burger and double bacon cheese burger as sets, plus a chili mozza cheese bar and draft beer — the burgers weren't extraordinary but were solidly tasty, and the chili mozza cheese bar turned out spicier than expected. Trying to figure out what to eat in Seongsu, I suddenly craved a handmade burger, so I headed to Bas Burger Seongsu :)
Seongsu has so many restaurant options that picking one is always a struggle, but this time I wanted a burger with a cold draft beer — so here's my Bas Burger Seongsu review, stat!

Location and parking at Bas Burger Seongsu
I went to Bas Burger Seongsu craving a handmade burger. Seongsu has so many cafés and restaurants that choosing lunch or dinner is a bit of a dilemma, right?

I searched "Seongsu terrace restaurant" and "Seoul Forest outdoor seating" because I wanted a burger and cold draft beer on a breezy terrace, and rushed over,,,,, a handmade burger with draft beer. That combo is already winning....
It's a good spot for enjoying a burger with a beer, so if you're looking for a relatively easy meal in Seongsu, it's worth adding to your list :) Parking is on the difficult side ^^...
Interior atmosphere and menu
The interior has a pretty generous 7-8 tables for four ^^ You can order via table-side kiosk, but I'm a blogger, so photos first haha

Living up to its reputation as a Seongsu handmade burger spot, Bas Burger Seongsu had quite a variety of burgers :) I agonized right up to the last second between the wasabi mayo burger and the Hawaiian...

My companion loves a rich meaty flavor, so he went with the double bacon cheese combo, and I got the Hawaiian ^^ I'm that person who's extremely pro-pineapple on burgers and pizza.

And since burgers alone felt like it wasn't enough, we added a chili mozza cheese bar and draft beer ^^ That's a pretty model order, don't you think...!
From self-bar potato chips to the burgers

Bas Burger has a separate self-bar where you can keep eating potato chips. They're fried fresh that same morning and warm, and you can add pepper and salt to taste!
Our burgers finally arrived 🍍 I thought, "kind of small for a handmade burger?" but actually that's a plus. You know how awkward it is trying to open your mouth super wide for a handmade burger...
His hand politely waiting (?) — true to its double bacon name, my husband's burger looked like it had a lot more filling than my Hawaiian ^^
My husband kept getting in the shot while I was trying to take photos ^^... a little cooperation, please...

Double Bacon Cheese Burger
The double bacon lived up to its name with two clear slices of bacon inside, but according to my husband's review, the patty's juiciness actually stood out more than the bacon, giving it a rich meaty flavor overall...!

Hawaiian Burger
A Hawaiian burger can feel heavy if you're eating meat non-stop, but the sweetness of the pineapple cut through every so often, making for a fresher (?) bite.
Overall, the burger flavor wasn't a "whoa, life-changing burger!!!" kind of intense — it was closer to a solidly tasty handmade burger I enjoyed without complaint. I already love this combo, so I happily finished my Hawaiian burger :)
If the Hawaiian burger is the one that clearly splits opinions because of the pineapple, the double bacon cheese burger is the easier pick for anyone who likes meat + cheese + bacon. Especially since we ordered it as a set that day, one burger plus a side made for a filling meal.
To anyone who insists "pineapple absolutely does not belong on a burger!!!"... just let me have the Hawaiian and you take the double bacon cheese burger. Let's live in peace.
Chili mozza cheese bar — I thought it was chili in name only...?
And the unexpected dark horse of the day: the chili mozza cheese bar.

I ordered it thinking we'd just pick at it while eating burgers, and at first I figured it'd be a mildly spicy cheese stick, you know? First bite. Hmm~ Second bite. Wait...? This is actually pretty spicy...? lolllll
Personally, it was noticeably spicier than I expected. Since it's a cheese-based side, I assumed it'd be soft with just a hint of spice, but chili turned out to actually be chili....
The combo of spicy chili mozza cheese bar and a sip of cold draft beer is good....!!
If you like spicy food, it's worth ordering as a side!

I visited Bas Burger Seongsu craving a handmade burger in Seongsu. I tried the Hawaiian burger and double bacon cheese burger sets along with the chili mozza cheese bar and draft beer — overall the burgers weren't super extraordinary, more just solidly enjoyable :)
Since I already love pineapple burgers, I really enjoyed the Hawaiian burger, and honestly the biggest surprise of the day was the chili mozza cheese bar haha. I underestimated it thinking it was chili in name only, but it turned out surprisingly spicy — though it paired really well with the draft beer? ^^
