It's really feeling like fall in Daegu now, and fall means good snacks! Roasted chestnuts, sweet potatoes, egg bread… but if you're visiting Daegu, I really want to recommend the local specialty, "peanut bread." And you can find it right in Seomun Market, Daegu's most famous market.
What kind of shop is Daesin Peanut Bread?

The Seomun Market Section 2 spot I found is called "Daesin Peanut Bread"! It's located inside Seomun Market, and it's famous because the bread is generously packed with whole peanuts — plus it got even more popular after being featured on the TV show Master in the House and after YouTuber Hebob visited. It's closed only on major holiday days, and open every day from 8 AM to 6 PM.
How to reach Daesin Peanut Bread in Seomun Market Section 2 by subway

Now, the part that trips a lot of people up — how to actually find it! Get off at Exit 3 of Seomun Market Station on Subway Line 3, and the market is right on your right. Pass the entrance and the parking area, and you'll see "Section 2." Keep going straight through that entrance and you'll hit a fork with stalls in four directions selling drinks and clothes — the shop is right there on the left.
Where to park near Seomun Market

For parking, you can use the parking tower inside the market. During Chuseok, they open the public parking lot for free, so that's worth remembering if you're planning a family trip! It's located right near the market entrance, so it's easy to find.
The Daesin Peanut Bread storefront and display counter

The storefront is takeout-only with simple facilities, but I spotted a cute sign and Hebob's autograph.

And the freshly baked peanut bread looked so good it hurt, haha. They also sell peanuts on their own, individually packaged or by the sack, which is handy if you just want the peanuts. The peanuts are small, kind of like Udo Island peanuts, and apparently super nutty.

Everything was managed really hygienically, and they let you taste a sample if you're not sure what to buy. Besides peanut bread, they also sell egg bread, peanut jam, peanut butter, and peanut lattes, so it's easy to grab a bunch of things at once! And right next door, haha… there was a shop called Seomun Peanut, which was every bit as popular as the original.
Daesin Peanut Bread menu and prices

Overall the prices were pretty reasonable, and since you can mix items and they ship nationwide, it'd make a great holiday gift! Plus, they said the peanuts aren't factory-processed but handled themselves, which makes it feel even more trustworthy. Peanut butter is ₩4,000 for 150g, ₩10,000 for 400g (creamy), and the peanut latte is ₩2,500, or ₩4,000 for a large.
Packing up 45 peanut breads and 2 egg breads

I swung by this Seomun Market Section 2 spot early in the morning with my husband to grab some snacks, haha, and packed up 45 peanut breads and 2 egg breads!
Whole peanuts inside: how the peanut bread tastes

Not only was it warm and fresh out of the oven, the peanuts were so nutty and the bread so soft that I kept reaching for more, lol. My husband said it was perfect beer food and ended up day-drinking after finishing work on the weekend 🥲

The egg bread we also picked up at this Seomun Market Section 2 spot was super soft too, packed with so much egg it was a little heavy going down, but it paired really well with coffee or a drink — a solid fall snack for the whole family!
Why Seomun Market Section 2 peanut bread is worth a repeat visit

The bread is seriously huge, right? Haha. It's gotten so famous that branches are popping up all over the country now, but since this place started here in Daegu, I think a local favorite is always worth eating right where it began! If you're planning a Daegu trip or want a gift for your parents this upcoming holiday, definitely give it a try 🥜👍
