Goyang bakery café with decaf latte and buttery salt bread: Baedagol
In short
Baedagol Bakery House is a large bakery café with a beautiful garden in Wondang, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. On a cool day, two decaf café lattes (7,500 won each) came with salt bread, an almond croissant and walnut sweet bread in the private inner seating, and the decaf still tasted rich and nutty. With a big parking lot, strong bread and drinks, and garden views, Baedagol Bakery House stays busy even on weekdays.

After a long summer finally passed and the weather turned cool, I headed out to Baedagol Bakery House, a café in Deogyang-gu known for its beautiful garden~
Where is Baedagol Bakery House, and what are its hours and parking?
Baedagol Bakery House is a bakery café at 123 Hoguk-ro1121beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 with last order at 20:30, has parking, and even has high chairs for babies.
True to Baedagol's reputation for a pretty garden, all kinds of flowers and trees are lushly maintained here. Maybe because the heat had suddenly broken into cooler weather, there were lots of guests sitting out on the terrace.
Parking is available in Baedagol's dedicated lot. The café is so popular that there's even a second parking lot.

They're currently running a fresh melon season, so banners for melon drinks, bingsu (shaved ice dessert), and cake are on display. One of Baedagol's special features is how the seasonal fruit menus change throughout the year.

First- and second-floor seating, and the inner tables for laptop work
Past the arched entrance are the first-floor seats. There's plenty of seating, but since the café is so popular — busy even on weekdays — it can be a bit hard to grab a spot. Personally, I love the seats by the window looking out onto the garden the most.
The second floor has a different atmosphere. One whole wall is a large window, letting you see the green trees and scenery outside. It's a pleasant, peaceful space.
There's also outdoor seating on the second floor, perfect for sitting outside in spring or fall.
Further inside are seats with a somewhat more private feel — great for solo laptop work too. This is where we sat that day.

What bread does Baedagol Bakery House sell, and when is the 50% discount?
The breads and cakes all look delicious at a glance. There's such a wide variety that even a group with different tastes shouldn't have trouble picking something. Starting at 7pm, all bread is 50% off.

Drink menu at Baedagol Bakery House: decaf and alternative milk options
Drinks are just as varied — coffee, tea, smoothies, bingsu, and more. There are several types of coffee beans too, so you can choose according to your taste. And of course, decaf is available. Milk can also be swapped for oat milk or almond milk.
Fitting for fresh melon season, there are various menu items using melon.

If you add Baedagol as a KakaoTalk friend or follow their Instagram account, you get 10% off drinks every visit! On weekdays, bread is included too.

How the decaf latte and buttery salt bread tasted
Our order Salt bread 3,000 Almond croissant 7,000 Walnut sweet bread 6,000 Decaf café latte x2 (7,500 each) (+₩1,000 for decaf)

Baedagol is also famous for its coffee. Even decaf, the bean flavor was rich and nutty — right up our alley.
The salt bread had a proper butter cave inside. Salty yet clean-tasting, it's the classic salt bread flavor done right. We took the rest of the bread home haha.
Is Baedagol Bakery House in Goyang worth a visit?
Baedagol Bakery House is a great place for anyone, any age, to come relax. I noticed Baedagol Bakeforet has opened across the street, and I'd like to try that next time. With this many guests even on weekdays, I'm curious just how packed it gets on weekends.
Plenty of parking, delicious bread and drinks, a beautiful view — this café really has nothing missing. There's no reason not to visit, which is exactly why it's so popular~
