Seongsu dessert café couple set with 10 bocado: Bocado Butter

When you're dating around Seongsu, you often crave something sweet after a meal, right? This time I wanted to try something a bit different from the usual cakes or cookies, so I headed to Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store~

I heard Bocado Butter is a dessert shop you can only find in Seongsu. 'Bocado' means 'a bite' in Spanish, and true to its name, this place sells small, bite-size desserts. Let's get into the review!

What the café and seating are like

Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store isn't a huge space, but I liked that there were still plenty of seats. It has a cozy, charming feel.

The buttery and coffee scents in the café are so nice.

There are also spots for a quick solo visit, and outlets too, which is great for charging up while traveling.

There's a handwashing area with a table — the white and wood tones felt great, and it was nice to be able to wash up before eating dessert.

What comes in the 15,000-won couple set

The couple set was great for sharing between two people — ₩15,000 for 2 americanos + 10 bocado pieces. We visited as a pair and, after debating what to order, went with the couple set. The americano can also be switched to decaf!

The bocado came neatly packed in a box — great packaging, and it seems like it'd make a good gift too.

After a sip of the strong coffee, the flavor of the cream in the bocado came through even more clearly, and then another sip of coffee cleanly cleared away the sweetness in my mouth.

They really go well together haha. I had so much to see in Seongsu that I needed a coffee transfusion, and this hit the spot perfectly. Loved it.

Why to order the coconut dipping cream too

Everyone, you have to order this coconut dipping cream too. It's genuinely delicious. The cream is rich but not too sweet — just right. It really upgrades the flavor.

How did they make it this thin? So fascinating lol, it's really like a thin rice cracker.

It was nice as a snack because it wasn't heavy at all — easy to enjoy without feeling weighed down. The bite-size pieces were easy to eat, and the combo of crispy outside and soft butter cream inside was impressive. Even in such a small size, you could taste a rich, nutty depth, making it great to enjoy slowly alongside coffee~

Dipping it in this cream made it twice as delicious. With the crispy texture, just the right sweetness, and creaminess, my hand kept reaching for more, and it paired perfectly with iced americano haha.

Who Bocado Butter Seongsu suits

The couple set costs ₩15,000, which was reasonable for two people to share, and it seems especially well suited for anyone wanting a simple dessert after a meal. Seongsu has so many pretty cafés, but the biggest appeal here was getting to experience Bocado Butter's own signature menu rather than desserts you can find anywhere.
