Where is Cove Bar and how do you find it?

Cove Bar is a rooftop bar at 103-1 Sinheung-ro, 3rd floor, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Sinheung Market in Haebangchon. I was looking for a nearby bar for a second round after drinks at Sinheung Market, and this was about a five-minute walk away!

There's no sign, so it's easy to walk right past it!! If you look carefully, it's on the 3rd floor of the white building across from Nupcafe. It's also just a short walk from the village bus stop!! If you're coming here, I'd recommend taking the bus.

What's on the menu at Cove Bar?

Cove Bar doesn't sell a huge variety of food, but they do have simple snack-style dishes. The signature menu item is Lasagna, and they also have Butter bar, Oyster, and Sausages.

Inside and outside Cove Bar: the atmosphere

Climbing the stairs, the window with 'cove bar' written on it had such a nice vibe I had to take a shot 📸

As soon as I walked in, it was dark and calm all around — a real bar atmosphere. I was surprised at how good the vibe was. Maybe it's the soft lighting, but the whole space feels like an upscale bar. I really liked the overall mood haha

Totally has that upscale bar feel! The bar had a wide variety of liquor lined up.

The Namsan Tower view from Cove Bar's rooftop

After checking out the inside of Cove Bar, I headed out to the rooftop, and Namsan Tower was right there. When I was walking up to the first floor, I had no idea the view would be this good. This place is a total Namsan Tower view spot!!! It felt like finding my own hidden view spot haha

There were about 7 rooftop tables, and since I went on a weekday night it was really quiet. With the soft lighting and such a clear view of Namsan Tower, I spent a little time just zoning out and unwinding. It felt like a great spot to enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. It was also great for enjoying things quietly~~ I bet the sunset view here would be amazing too. I'll have to visit again at sunset next time. Apparently it gets so popular during sunset hours that it fills up completely. If you're visiting around that time, I'd recommend reserving through Catch Table ✔️

If you're looking for a Namsan view, this is the place~^..^ Took a shot of the overall atmosphere!! The soft, unobtrusive lighting made sitting there in the evening feel even better >..<

Ordering a glass of red wine by QR code

Cove Bar had a lot of cocktails, whiskeys, and wines, but I felt like wine today so I picked red wine. Cheers with wine in a place with such a good vibe 🍷

You order here with a QR code~! They brought water too, but it would've been nice if there was a basic snack included. It was a bit disappointing not having any side dish haha

I also took a shot of the other side of the rooftop, and it's pretty spacious!

Who should go to this Haebangchon rooftop bar?

I found a great quiet spot to unwind and ended the day having a good time. If you're looking for a bar with a great atmosphere in Itaewon or Haebangchon, or a spot with a great Namsan Tower view, I think Cove Bar in Haebangchon is worth checking out :)
