I was looking for a spacious, good-vibe café near Gangnam Station or Sinnonhyeon Station and found Something About Coffee ☕️ It's a big café spanning floors 1 to 3, so there are all kinds of seats and each floor has a slightly different mood — great for chatting with friends, going on a date, or just relaxing. Let me introduce this Gangnam Station café haha.

Sunlight pours in, and the café looked really pretty even from the outside ☀️ I visited on a weekend afternoon and there were quite a lot of customers! Let me walk you through each floor 🏠
What are the first-floor seats like?
On the 1st floor of Something About Coffee, there's everything from 2-person tables to bigger group tables by the window. It's a good setup whether you're solo with a coffee or coming with a group looking for a spot!
The second-floor window wall and terrace
The 2nd floor has the ordering counter, and thanks to the full window wall it's an especially bright, cheerful space during the day ☀️ There's also outdoor terrace seating, which would be lovely to sit at on a nice-weather day. The men's and women's restrooms are also separately located on the 2nd floor!
Third-floor terrace and weekend seating
There's an outdoor terrace on the 3rd floor too, and I think it'd be great for enjoying a coffee out there once the weather cools down in fall 🍂 The café has quite a lot of seats overall, but when I went, nearly every table was taken — clearly a popular spot!
How ordering works and what's in the dessert case
The order counter is on the 2nd floor, and ordering drinks, picking up, and returning trays all happen there 👀 Right in front of the counter there's a whole lineup of desserts on display — genuinely hard to just walk past 🍰🥐🧁
Being a proper bakery café, Something About Coffee has a really wide range of desserts — cheesecakes, scones, madeleines, all kinds of baked pastries 🧁 The dessert plates and tongs are also set out nicely, so I picked one up and got in line to order haha.
For the cakes, you tell them when ordering and they take it out of the showcase for you 🍰 There were lots of cake varieties, and they were generously topped with fruit!
The drink menu isn't just coffee either — there's a decent range of teas and ades too, so it's easy to pick something that suits your taste.

The Americano was a clean, basic coffee that goes well with dessert, and I tried the black sesame latte since it's the signature menu item — it had that nutty black sesame flavor with a rich, sweet finish! If you're ordering a few different desserts together, it might be nice to choose between the coffee or the latte depending on your mood haha.
The egg cookie had a soft egg-cream layer on top of a baked bread base, and it was sweet 💛 I'd recommend it to anyone who likes scones!
Is the lemon yogurt gateau worth it?
And the lemon yogurt gateau is a cake with layers of tangy lemon cream and sweet yogurt cream 🍋 I love tart, sour flavors so I was completely satisfied, but my boyfriend had a bit of a hard time with it haha. If you're not a big fan of lemon flavor, this one might be a bit hit or miss for you 😆
