Suwon coffee shop with a 1-shot vanilla latte: peach cake at Diaz

A second visit to Diaz Cake Boutique near Suwon City Hall Station

October 25, 2025. After a work dinner, I came to Diaz for a coffee cure. That day every cake was sold out issue and I only got coffee — such a letdown. So when a good opportunity came up, I went back today and finally had both coffee and cake.

It's close to Suwon City Hall Station, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a café near Suwon City Hall Station, or anyone who prefers an independent café over a franchise chain like me.

The building does have a parking lot, but apparently you can't use it. So I parked at a nearby paid lot and walked over.

How to find Diaz Cake Boutique in Ingye-dong

There are a lot of identical buildings in Ingye-dong so it can be confusing, but the building exterior has DIAAZ written big at the top and bottom, so it was easy to find.

There are actually two Diaz locations in the same building — last year I visited the 4th floor, and today I went to the 2nd floor. Honestly, I still don't know what the difference is.

Inside the second-floor café: atmosphere and seating

The 2nd floor Diaz Cake Boutique store is right in front of you when you step off the elevator. The interior isn't huge, but it has 2-person tables, 4-person tables, and even group seating.

The peach cake: how does it taste if you love firm peaches?

The peach in Diaz Cake Boutique's peach cake is ttakbok (firm, crunchy peach, as opposed to the soft, juicy kind). Okay, raise your hand if you're on team firm peach. Me first!! I'm firmly team ttakbok.

Since I'm team ttakbok, I loved it — the cake was packed with the firm peaches I love. Not a single mushy one in there, and they were sweet and just so delicious.

Sensitive to caffeine? Order the vanilla latte with one shot

Diaz Cake Boutique doesn't have decaf. I love coffee, but I'm sensitive to caffeine, so I usually order decaf wherever I go. The vanilla latte normally comes with 2 shots, so I asked for just 1.

Usually when you cut it down to 1 shot, the coffee flavor ends up watery, but this one still had a rich vanilla taste and the coffee wasn't watery at all — I enjoyed it a lot.
