Seongsu terrace restaurant for zucchini nerano pasta: Billadeubeulleu

In short

Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is an Italian restaurant with a terrace on a quiet alley off Seoul Forest 2-gil in Seongdong, Seoul. On a cool September evening the order was aligot cheese lasagna, nerano pasta and gnocchi fritti (9,000 won), and the toddler finished the zucchini pesto nerano pasta almost single-handedly. With baby chairs and kids' tableware on hand, Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is an easy choice for terrace pasta with a child.

The mornings and evenings feel so much cooler now! Weather like this doesn't last long, so I've been hunting for Seongsu restaurants with terraces first and foremost.

This time I went with my baby to Billadeubeulleu Seongsu (빌라드블루 성수), a spot on a quiet alley perfect for enjoying pasta and wine on the terrace :) But honestly, the baby ate better than mom and dad did haha. The baby polished off a whole plate of pasta solo, so we barely got a bite each.

If you're looking for a Seongsu terrace restaurant that also has genuinely good food, I'd recommend Billadeubeulleu Seongsu :)

Where is Billadeubeulleu Seongsu, and what are its hours and parking?

What's on the menu at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu?

Billadeubeulleu Seongsu's signature dish is the aligot cheese lasagna. Since it was my first visit, I just had to order it! The aligot cheese lasagna is a signature dish where they pour the cheese sauce over your dish tableside like a waterfall.

Beyond that, the menu has plenty of range, from squid ink risotto and Sicilian puttanesca pasta to gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi, plus risottos and steaks. The gnocchi fritti, a nice light side to add on, is ₩9,000.

They also have a good range of wine, from red to sparkling, so it looked like a great place to pair pasta with wine too :)

What are the interior and terrace seats like?

One reason I'd recommend Billadeubeulleu to anyone hunting for a Seongsu restaurant with a terrace is the atmosphere.

We also loved the cool September evening weather, so we sat straight down on the terrace.

Terrace table facing the alley

When you think of Seongsu, bustling alleys come to mind first, but Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is on a relatively quiet alley, so it was nice to sit and eat there.

Quiet Seongsu alley and terrace seating

There's a main terrace facing the alley, and a slightly more private terrace space toward the back, so it seemed like a good spot for a date, a blind date, or a get-together with friends too.

The interior has stylish design too, but in weather like this — not too hot, not too cold — I'd recommend the terrace over the indoor seats. Next time I want to come for a quiet dinner, sit on the terrace, and slowly work through pasta and a glass of wine ^.ㅠ

Aligot cheese lasagna, nerano pasta and gnocchi fritti: how they tasted

At Billadeubeulleu Seongsu we ordered three things: aligot cheese lasagna, nerano pasta, and gnocchi fritti. Since we came with a baby, they set us up with baby tableware and a water cup too.

First, the aligot cheese lasagna! True to its signature-dish status, they pour the cheese sauce over it tableside like a waterfall — it's fun just to watch haha.

I thought with this much cheese it might be too rich, but the bright tanginess of the tomato really came through, so the balance was better than expected.

But surprisingly, my favorite dish that day wasn't the signature dish — it was this nerano pasta. It's pasta made with zucchini pesto, and the subtle zucchini aroma paired with bright lemon was genuinely delicious.

I wanted to scrape up every last bit of the sauce, but our baby basically ate it all alone ㅠ_ㅠ..haha. Mom and dad only got a bite each. And since the baby was eating it so well, we couldn't exactly ask to share haha.

Gnocchi fritti served with aioli sauce

Lastly, the gnocchi fritti is herb-crumbled gnocchi that's fried and served with aioli sauce — crispy outside, chewy inside, and I kept reaching for more. At ₩9,000, it's also a great light add-on while waiting for the main dishes, and I especially recommend it as a wine snack.

Is Billadeubeulleu Seongsu worth it with a toddler?

Seongsu has so many restaurants that you end up looking not just for pretty atmosphere but for places where the food is actually good too. Billadeubeulleu Seongsu had a lovely quiet terrace atmosphere, but the food was satisfying enough that the baby ate almost a whole plate of pasta alone.

If, like me, you're looking for a pasta restaurant near Seoul Forest to go to with a child, or a Seongsu restaurant for enjoying pasta and wine on a terrace in weather like this, give it a try :)
