Odeng Osaek Gangnam Station Branch is on the first floor of a building at 42 Seocho-daero 73-gil. To find your way, just look for the giant cat statue.😽

That smiling face is pretty cute (kawaii, right~^.^)

You can check out the menu board in front of the store, and the fact that all 5 signature items in the center are oden (fish cake) says a lot about how proud Odeng Osaek is of its oden.🍢 (You can't imagine how serious they are about it.)

Happy hour at Odeng Osaek: 2,900-won Cass draft until 19:00

The highlight is definitely the happy hour deal. Sun-Thu until 19:00, Cass draft beer is ₩2,900! And handmade chicken nanban + 2 Suntory drafts comes to ₩28,500! (Impossible to resist!)

Here's a look at the interior vibe. Mostly 4-person tables, with a 7-person group table in the center.

Busan-style traditional fish cakes and the free starters

The main things I ordered at Odeng Osaek were the Busan-style traditional oden and the happy-hour Cass draft beer. Once you order, a starter snack comes out first — and it's a tuna canape(🙊).

I ate it with a spoonful of tuna on top of a cracker, and honestly, this one was pretty solid.(🫶)

The main dish, Busan-style traditional oden, arrived as a deep pot of oden broth first, along with oden skewers served on the side so you can add them in yourself🍥

Of the skewers, the rice cake was my favorite — the garaetteok (cylindrical rice cake) was cooked just right. The fish cake quality was also quite high, the kind of flavor that calls for a draft beer.

How does the 2,900-won draft beer actually taste?

For ₩2,900 you get a full 500cc, packed to the brim, with just the right amount of foam and a smooth pour. And most importantly — the temperature — it went down ice cold, which gets a passing grade from me❄️ (a beer nerd's stamp of approval for this draft beer spot🍺)

Verdict: an easy beer-and-snack stop near Sinnonhyeon Station

I came here for a light beer-and-snack appetizer before dinner, and Odeng Osaek Gangnam Station Branch turned out to be a great place for a casual draft beer.

Origin labeling is shown for every type of food, which raised my trust in the place. (Every menu item has its own individual label.)

The kitchen is open too, so you could watch the cooking process. Overall, the table setup and food condition were hygienic, which felt reassuring and comfortable.(😌) If you're looking for a bar near Sinnonhyeon Station for a simple beer, I highly recommend this place. 🍢🫶🍻
