Hangang ramyeon and fireworks at Daejeon BBQ spot Hanmaeum Tapnip

In short

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip is an outdoor camping-concept Korean BBQ restaurant in Tapnip-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. Two of us went on a weekday at around 7pm and ordered a pork tray for 42,000 won plus Hangang ramyeon, and a staff member grilled the meat at the table, so we only had to sit and talk. After dinner came fire-pit lounging, ice cream and fireworks, which turns one meat dinner at Hanmaeum Tapnip into a camping trip that lasts hours.

As the weather cools down these days, I find myself craving places where I can enjoy the atmosphere outdoors rather than just eating meat indoors. This time I visited Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip (한마음정육식당 탑립점) in Tapnip-dong, Daejeon! It's not just a meat restaurant — it's set up like a campsite, so you can eat great meat and finish the night with a fire pit. It was the perfect spot for this kind of weather, so let me introduce it :)

What is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip? (Tapnip-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon)

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip is an outdoor camping-concept Korean BBQ restaurant in Tapnip-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. I visited on a weekday around 7pm, and it was absolutely perfect for this kind of weather!

The setting: outdoor tables under tents, like a real campsite

Hanmaeum Tapnip has a different vibe from a typical Korean BBQ spot. You grill your meat in a space that feels like an outdoor campsite, so it felt less like going out for dinner and more like a quick camping trip. Especially in weather that's neither too hot nor too cold like now, it's a great atmosphere for eating meat outdoors! The tables around are decorated with a camping feel too, so it seemed like a good spot for friends or couples, and fine for families as well.

You can buy drinks and beverages here too, and how could I skip Hangang ramyeon (한강라면)! I ordered it as yeol-ramyeon (열라면, a spicy instant noodle brand).

Staff grill the meat for you: pork tray, side dishes and Hangang ramyeon

Unlike regular camping where you bring and grill the meat yourself, what I liked most about Hanmaeum Tapnip is that you can just relax and enjoy the meal. Having staff grill the meat for you was such a relief! At a lot of camping-style restaurants, the atmosphere is great but you end up flipping and grilling the whole time and can't actually talk to the people you came with. But since Hanmaeum Tapnip grills the meat for you, we could just sit comfortably and chat while we ate.

The staff grilled the meat perfectly too, so all we had to do was time our bites — so convenient. Maybe it was the outdoor setting or the atmosphere, but it tasted even better than usual 🤭

Jolmyeon muchim side dish, a standout item

The basic side dishes were so good too! Doenjang jjigae (된장찌개, soybean paste stew) and jolmyeon muchim (쫄면 무침, spicy chewy noodle salad)! (The jolmyeon muchim was especially a hidden gem 😋)

Hangang ramyeon simmered and brought to the table

And while eating the meat, they brought out Hangang ramyeon, simmered and ready! Ramyeon and meat really are the ultimate combo ㅠㅠ

After dinner: fire pit, ice cream and fireworks

Fire pit enjoyed after the meal
Flames burning at the fire pit at night

Once we mostly finished eating, we enjoyed the fire pit — the real highlight of a camping-style restaurant. Instead of heading straight home after dinner, you get to sit by the fire and relax, and that totally changes the mood. Sitting by the fire in this cool weather really made it feel like an actual camping trip. Being full from the meat and then lounging by the fire — this, I think, is the real charm of eating outdoors 🔥

There was also a snack you can't skip while sitting by the fire — ice cream! Watching the warm fire while eating cool ice cream was a better combo than I expected. It was great as a palate cleanser after the meat, and eating it slowly by the fire made the camping feeling even stronger.

And the highlight of the day was the fireworks. Eating meat → fire pit → ice cream → and finally fireworks — it really felt like a full experience. What started as just a meal turned into hours of proper fun. Especially with the fireworks at the end, it truly felt like a trip to a campsite.

Verdict: who Hanmaeum Tapnip suits best

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Tapnip isn't just a place to eat meat — its biggest appeal is being able to enjoy meat + camping atmosphere + fire pit + ice cream + fireworks all in one visit. And since the staff grill the meat for you, it's especially great for people who want the camping vibe without the hassle of grilling! If you want to eat meat outdoors and enjoy a fire pit in this cool weather, it's worth a visit at least once. I had a really satisfying time — great meat, plenty of fire-pit lounging, and fireworks to top it off :) If you're looking for a different kind of Korean BBQ or camping restaurant in Daejeon, this is one I'd recommend💛
