It's located in Hyundai Girim Officetel, a 2-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 5, so it was really easy to find! There's a parking lot right in front of the building, but since it's paid and the transit access is so good, I'd recommend walking. If you do need to drive, they say you can find cheaper nearby options using the 'Modoo Parking' app 😊

At a glance, the interior looks clean and hygienic! For semi-permanent procedures that touch the skin and face directly, hygiene matters most, and the tool management and cleanliness here were excellent, which built my trust right from the first visit. On the desk, color charts and materials for countless color combinations were all neatly arranged 👍🏻

At Lamoon Brow, the first step before the procedure is a 1:1 consultation with the director. After filling out a chart with prior procedure history, any skin conditions, and concerns to keep in mind during the procedure —

instead of just laying down a color, she first checks the existing tone of the lips (whether dark or dull), then combines a personal color based on the lip shade you usually wear and your skin tone. She told me that with my neutral tone, pretty much any color would suit me, and among those, we went with the berry shade I personally preferred as the procedure began!

Next, I lay down on the bed and pain-relief cream was applied; after about 15 minutes, my lips gradually went numb.

After numbing, she drew a guideline for precise work like symmetrical lip lines, and the actual procedure began! Right as it started, she showed me a brand-new disposable needle and used a disposable eye mask, which put my mind even more at ease ☺️ With strict use of single-use tools and thorough hygiene management as their principle, there's really no need to worry about infection risk at all!!

Since it was my first time, there was some discomfort, but overall I could get through it comfortably without much pain. The director's technique was so delicate and thorough that it wasn't tiring, and thanks to her careful check-ins on my pain and condition throughout, I stayed relaxed the whole time.

Shedding takes 5–7 days for a lip tattoo. Here's the day-by-day breakdown Lamoon Brow gave me.

• Days 1–3: The color may look somewhat darker on the day of the procedure and the day after, and swelling — which varies by person — goes down quickly.
• Days 3–5 (shedding period): Thin flakes of skin start to lift, but you must never force them off with your hands. The key is applying plenty of the regenerating cream or lip balm the director gave you, often, to prevent dryness.
• After shedding: The dull lip tone settles into place, and a natural, clear glow close to your own natural lip color comes through, giving even a bare face some life.

Aftercare rules to follow while the lips peel

• ✔ Face washing: On the day of the procedure, only rinse with water. (You can use soap on other areas, just not the treated area.)
• ✔️ Exercise and sauna: For about a week after the procedure, avoid swimming, gym workouts, jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and other activities that make you sweat heavily. (This can cause premature shedding, slow cell regeneration, and interfere with pigmentation.)
• ✔️ Moisturizing care: Until the flakes shed, apply moisturizer thinly with a cotton swab twice a day (morning/evening).
• ✔️ Lip products: It's best to avoid your usual lipstick, gloss, tint, and other lip cosmetics for a week.
• ✔️ Food: Be careful with foods you tear at with your hands (like galbi or crab), as well as hot or spicy, irritating foods, due to infection risk.
