Countryside oil pasta spice and 1-hour parking in Dongnae: Sasaenghwal

In short

Sasaenghwal is a pasta and brunch restaurant in a residential street in Dongnae, Busan, a 10-minute walk from Dongnae Station. A regular of three years visited at 7pm on a weekday and ordered the countryside oil pasta at 16,900 won and the sous vide sirloin cream risotto at 16,900 won, clearing both plates in 10 minutes — the heat is milder than Shin Ramyun and the barley cream is nutty rather than heavy. With 1 hour covered at Dongyeong Public Parking Lot, Sasaenghwal is easy to reach by car too.

The place I'm posting about this time is my go-to-go-to-go-to spot, Sasaenghwal in Dongnae, Busan — I'm a 3-year regular here. It's the kind of place where every one of my close friends has been dragged along at least once..

I'll walk you through why I keep coming back, the regular's recommended menu, the taste and spice level of the countryside oil pasta, and parking at Sasaenghwal in Dongnae (as of September 2026)

Walking to Sasaenghwal from Dongnae Station, and how full it gets on a weekday evening

Exterior of Sasaenghwal, set in a residential neighborhood

Sasaenghwal in Dongnae, Busan is about a 10-minute walk from Dongnae Station. It sits on a street in a residential neighborhood, and ever since I stumbled onto it by chance and fell for the countryside oil pasta, I've ended up coming back 2-3 times a year haha

The dining room at Sasaenghwal full of weekday evening guests

When I visited at 7pm on a weekday, it was completely full except for one or two seats. Even last year this time slot wasn't this busy — I guess everyone's caught on that this is a great restaurant now..

Interior of Sasaenghwal near full capacity

It's great that business is booming, but now that it's gotten popular I'm half-worried I'll have to wait in line.. (you know that feeling, right..? ㅠ) A Dongnae restaurant worth the wait, basically.

There are pretty little props placed throughout — doesn't the owner's taste seem seriously good? +_+ (there's also a guestbook notebook you can write in haha)

Sasaenghwal in Dongnae, Busan offers 1 hour free at Dongyeong Public Parking Lot, and it's about a 5-minute walk from there to the restaurant. I visited on a weekday afternoon and parking spots were pretty tight, so I'd recommend coming early in the morning or late in the evening!

Price list on Sasaenghwal's menu

Sasaenghwal sells everything from pasta to brunch to highballs — it can be a Dongnae brunch spot, a Western restaurant, or a Dongnae bar with a nice atmosphere, depending on when you go

  • Countryside oil pasta ₩16,900
  • Little Forest risotto ₩16,900
  • Sous vide sirloin cream risotto ₩16,900

These are the regular's true, tried-and-tested recommendations. If you go to Sasaenghwal, you absolutely have to try these three, especially the countryside oil pasta.. this is genuinely one you can't skip ㅠ.ㅠ It's a flavor you can't get at other Western restaurants, so it keeps coming to mind

How spicy is the countryside oil pasta at Sasaenghwal?

Table spread of countryside oil pasta and sous vide sirloin cream risotto

What I ordered was the countryside oil pasta and the sous vide sirloin cream risotto

Countryside oil pasta topped with pork belly and perilla leaves

The countryside oil pasta is Sasaenghwal's own signature pasta, made with pork belly, perilla leaves, dried chili, garlic scapes, oyster mushrooms, and tomato

What is this, this is insane

It was spicy yet somehow tasted like Korean food, and nutty too — an oil pasta unlike anything I'd ever had. Unique, but milder than Shin Ramyun, with just the right kick, so I kept going back for more

Sauce-coated noodles of the countryside oil pasta

The noodle thickness was just right too, and the sauce soaked into the noodles nicely — very satisfying

Is the sous vide sirloin cream risotto too rich?

Cream risotto topped with sous vide sirloin

This was my first time trying the sous vide sirloin cream risotto, and it gets five stars, truly!!!! Honestly the reason I never ordered it before was thinking "wouldn't it be too rich eaten with pasta..?" but after one bite I genuinely regretted not trying it sooner

Close-up of Sasaenghwal's barley cream risotto

On top of the barley cream risotto sit finely sliced pieces of sous vide sirloin, and thanks to the nuttiness of the barley, it never felt heavy while eating. I'm the type who gets sick of rich food fast and ends up eating small portions, but Sasaenghwal's cream risotto had none of that problem — I loved it

Empty pasta and risotto plates finished in 10 minutes

Hahahahahahahaha it's been a while since I demolished a plate in 10 minutes flat;; my friend and I were both loving it so much we practically raced each other to finish

Why this Sasaenghwal regular keeps coming back after three years

The best thing about Sasaenghwal is that 'the taste never changes.' Anyone else had that disappointing experience where a go-to spot's flavor quietly changes over time? Sasaenghwal is a place where you never have to worry about that ㅎ_ㅎ

Sasaenghwal in Dongnae: the verdict

  • ✅ A good restaurant for Dongnae Station, Sajik-dong, Oncheon-dong, Minam Station area
  • ✅ A Dongnae, Busan restaurant that does pasta really well
  • ✅ A recommended bar with good atmosphere in Myeongnyun, Busan

Sasaenghwal is a place that blends Eastern and Western ingredients into its food, so if you're someone who says regular Western food is too rich for you, this will hit the spot exactly. And even if you're not, honestly ㅎ_ㅎ I really recommend it!!! (Don't get famous.. actually, do get famous..)
