I'm bringing you an honest review of Set 2, a full course that lets you try a hearty sushi platter, an assortment of sushi, soft chashu, and buckwheat soba with a rich broth that's a standout. Here's my introduction to this Dongnae sushi spot inside Lotte Department Store.

Moshi Moshi is located in the dining hall on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae. It has a clean Japanese restaurant vibe with modern yet warm wood tones.

Beyond the 2- and 4-person tables, there are counter seats great for solo dining, and the partitioned area in the back looked good for a family meal or a small gathering.

Menu lineup

From single sushi orders to substantial set menus, everything is well prepared.
Set 2 (for two) — 16-piece sushi, chashu, buckwheat soba

I ordered the two-person Set 2. It comes with 16 pieces of sushi, chashu, and your choice of udon or buckwheat soba. The vegetable salad and tofu salad served beforehand each had a tangy-sweet dressing that was perfect for whetting the appetite.

Finally, the main dishes arrived, filling the whole table.

Chashu made from pork belly
The chashu, with no off smell whatsoever and deeply infused with a sweet-savory sauce, uses tender pork belly that melts as soon as it hits your mouth. It's perfect eaten together with the crunchy bean sprouts!

Buckwheat soba topped with shaved ice
The buckwheat soba served with floating shaved ice exceeded my expectations. The tsuyu dashi broth is deep and rich, giving the noodles a whole different level of savoriness. Thanks to the cold, icy broth, it's a real treat in the hot summer.
16-piece sushi lineup
Today's main event: sushi. It comes as 16 pieces, and the variety made tasting through them a lot of fun.

From mild white fish to clean, fatty-free, savory red fish.

Chewy squid, and my top pick — eel sushi that melted right in my mouth.

The shrimp sushi in particular was varied in preparation — not just the usual blanched shrimp, but also plump raw shrimp, and torched abburi shrimp with a subtle smoky flavor topped with flying fish roe, making it fun to pick and choose.
Sushi Platter — solo sushi, udon, and tempura

The Sushi Platter is a solo menu, letting you enjoy sushi, udon, and tempura almost like a course.

The udon has a deep, rich dashi broth. I especially liked the generous toppings of fried tofu and mushrooms on top.

One piece each of shrimp, sweet pumpkin, and sweet potato tempura came out. Even though I ate it last, the crispy texture held up, and thanks to good-quality oil, there was no greasy aftertaste at all — just clean.
