Siheung BBQ with private parking and self-serve bar: Bulhyangjip
In short
Bulhyangjip Mulwang Lake Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Mulwang Reservoir in Siheung, Gyeonggi, where the meat arrives already grilled over briquette charcoal. The writer ordered the charcoal scallion bulgogi for 2 plus an extra bowl of rice, dipping the scallion-piled meat in the house sauce, and also found a spacious private parking lot behind the restaurant, a self-serve side dish bar and baby chairs. With no tabletop grilling to do, Bulhyangjip made for an easy family dinner.

Here's my story from Bulhyangjip Mulwang Lake Main Branch, a Korean BBQ spot I found while looking for good meat near Mulwang Reservoir! These days there are plenty of charcoal-grill (sutbul) restaurants, but places that actually cook over briquette coals (yeontan) are rare. Bulhyangjip, true to its name ("fire-scent house"), serves skewer-grilled meat with that deep smoky charcoal flavor 🔥 If you've been hunting for a good meat restaurant near Mulwang Reservoir, take a look!

Where is Bulhyangjip Mulwang Lake Main Branch, and what are its hours?
📍 Bulhyangjip Mulwang Lake Main Branch / Address: 46-2 Dongseo-ro 811beon-gil, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor / Hours: 11:00 – 21:00 / Break time: 15:00 – 17:00 / Parking: available, spacious private lot behind the restaurant
Bulhyangjip is near Mulwang Lake, so it's a great spot for a drive before or after a meal. But what I loved most was the parking!

Parking at Bulhyangjip: a private lot behind the restaurant
Head around to the back of the building and you'll find a lot that's genuinely huge. Around Mulwang Reservoir, weekends usually mean parking anxiety first, but here there was plenty of space to park easily. If you're the type who cares about parking when picking a meat restaurant in Siheung, this should make you happy!

Inside Bulhyangjip: seating with kids
Stepping inside, the space was even bigger and cleaner than I expected ✨ Luckily there was no wait when I visited, so I got seated right away! There were plenty of seating options, which made it feel good for family meals or group visits too. There were also baby chairs ready for anyone bringing little ones.

It turns out Bulhyangjip was picked by the kids' platform 'Mommam' as a must-visit spot for families with children! With baby chairs and a spacious layout, it's worth keeping in mind if you're searching for a family-friendly meat restaurant near Mulwang Lake 👶🏻💛

While looking around the restaurant, I also spotted a notice that it had been featured on SBS Morning Wide (생방송투데이)! Apparently it was introduced there in February 2026 for its charcoal bulgogi and bibim noodles. Knowing it was a TV-featured spot made me even more excited before the food arrived haha

Charcoal scallion bulgogi for 2, side dishes and the self-serve bar
🔥 Charcoal scallion bulgogi for 2, packed with that smoky charcoal flavor. Bulhyangjip's main draw is its charcoal-grilled skewer meat, and we ordered exactly that — the signature dish! Rice is sold separately, so we added a bowl 🍚 Once you order, the basic side dishes come out first.

There were a good variety of side dishes that pair well with meat, including bracken fern. My personal favorite was the radish! Wrapping a piece of meat with radish added a crunchy texture and cut through the richness beautifully. If the basic side dishes run out, you can use the self-serve bar.

The self-serve bar was neatly organized too, so I could easily grab whatever side dish I needed. The restaurant also has instructions posted on how to order and how to enjoy the scallion bulgogi at its best, so first-timers should give it a read! And then, finally, the main dish arrived 💛

Scallion-piled meat: how smoky was the charcoal flavor?
🔥🔥 The charcoal scallion bulgogi, full of smoky flavor!

The moment it arrived, I was surprised by just how much scallion was piled on top lol! There was seriously a mountain of scallions over the meat. The meat alone was already tasty, but eating it together with the scallions made it even better. Meat plus scallion, dipped into the house sauce — genuinely delicious 😭💛 Since the meat is grilled over charcoal, the smoky flavor hit the moment it touched my mouth.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for charcoal-grilled meat near Mulwang Reservoir! These days a lot of BBQ places have you grilling at the table yourself, but since Bulhyangjip's meat arrives already grilled over charcoal, you're not scrambling to cook — you can just dig in right away.
Paper cups, floss and coffee: the small touches at Bulhyangjip
One more thing I quietly appreciated! The water cups on the table were paper cups. I personally prefer paper cups over shared cups that everyone uses, so this small detail was a plus for me. And there was one more nice touch on the way out after finishing our meal!

At the register, there were Polo candies, floss, and toothpicks laid out ✨ After eating meat, food stuck between your teeth can be annoying — and here they even had floss ready! It might seem minor, but as a customer, these thoughtful little details tend to stick in your memory.

And there was coffee too!!! On the way out, I also spotted the used-up charcoal briquettes. Seeing the actual briquettes felt kind of fascinating haha. There aren't many meat restaurants left that grill directly over charcoal, which made it feel that much more special.
