Magok Mexican restaurant for dining out with a baby: Taqueros

In short

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican family restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower in Gangseo, Seoul. Visiting with a 7-month-old baby, the writer used one of the restaurant's high chairs and ordered the Signature Couple Set for 2 (fajita plus 2 tacos), and the wide spacing between tables meant no awkward glances when the baby got fussy. With free tortilla refills and 2 hours of free parking, Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a solid pick for eating out with a baby.

Today I went to Taqueros, famous for tacos in Magok, with my 7-month-old baby. There are so many good restaurants in Magok, but I was really craving Mexican food today. Taqueros is a great spot for its atmosphere too — perfect for engagement gatherings, birthday parties, or family get-togethers!

Inside Taqueros Magok: seating and table spacing

Wide tables and sofa seating inside Taqueros Magok Main Branch
Exotic-themed interior of Taqueros Magok Main Branch

Taqueros feels like a family restaurant that transports you to Mexico — the tables are spacious overall and it has a private feel, making it perfect for anniversaries. The exotic, distinctive interior and sofa seating really stood out to me.

Widely spaced seating at Taqueros Magok Main Branch

I noticed the tables were spaced really far apart. Even with quite a few customers around, you couldn't hear much noise from other tables. I thought it would be a great spot for engagements or birthdays for that reason.

The concept is so on point that it genuinely feels like you're on a trip somewhere. And since they have baby chairs, my 7-month-old was totally comfortable the whole time, haha.

What to order at Taqueros, a Magok Mexican restaurant

Complimentary nachos and nacho sauce

Even the complimentary nachos and nacho sauce that come out before you pick your main dish are delicious at Taqueros. Personally, if you're coming on a date, I recommend the Signature Couple Set for 2. You can choose fajita or ribs, and it comes with 2 tacos.

Fajita is a Tex-Mex dish where you wrap various vegetables and meat in a tortilla — I recommend it since it pairs so well with tortillas! Ordering was via QR code, which kept the table nice and uncluttered, haha.

Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2 spread

Ta-da, here's the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2. The portion is really generous... doesn't it look delicious?

The two tacos came with fried chicken and fried fish, served together with sauce — one bite and you're hooked...!!

They say at Taqueros, all the meat and salsa sauce are made in-house, which takes a lot of hands-on time and effort — but they say they always do their best because they want to serve food with philosophy behind it...

Fajita served with house-made salsa sauce

As a parent, making baby food is already such a hassle... and here they're making even the sauce from scratch. There's no way I could leave any behind. And honestly, it's so delicious I finish it all anyway, hahaha.

An assortment of dipping sauces

I liked having a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. To think there's a place in Magok where you can eat Mexican food this delicious... I already want to come back for my next birthday.

By the way, tortillas can be refilled for free, and they were so good I asked for a refill once more, haha.

Eating out with a 7-month-old at Taqueros: how it went

Partway through, my baby's nap time hit and she got fussy, and I almost felt self-conscious — but thankfully Taqueros Magok Main Branch has wide table spacing, and since I'd made a reservation, they seated us far from other tables, so I felt at ease.

📝 Worth it for tacos in Magok with a baby?

If you're in Magok craving something a little different, or looking for tacos or Mexican food, this is a place I'd really recommend. There are so many good restaurants in Magok, but if you have a baby around 7 months old like we do, I'd suggest checking on baby chairs and seating availability before you go — it'll make things much easier, haha.

Wrapping up the meal with the baby at Taqueros Magok Main Branch

Something I've been thinking about lately — when eating out with a baby, delicious food matters, but so does whether the environment lets mom and dad actually enjoy a comfortable meal.

After a great meal, you can also drive 3 minutes over to the One Grove branch — two birds with one stone!! Hahaha. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Magok, I recommend Taqueros Magok Main Branch!
