Seongsu burger restaurant for a coworker lunch: wasabi mayo at bd

Lunch as a Seongsu office worker has to be good, no exceptions haha. If you've worked hard all morning, you need a proper delicious lunch to make it through the afternoon. This time, my coworker and I were debating what to eat and found a great handmade burger place in Seongsu, so we headed to bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil branch.

Where is bd Burger Seongsu, and what are its hours?

bd Burger Seongsu is a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Seongsu Station, on the 2nd floor at 7 Seongsu-iro 14-gil. It's open daily from 11:30 to 21:00, last order at 20:30, and there's no on-site parking.

There's no shortage of food around Seongsu Station, so picking a lunch spot every day is basically its own job haha. On days when you're craving something filling but quick like a burger, this place is a solid pick. The interior has more of a Seongsu-style hip vibe than your typical fast food joint. With tables for two and four, it seemed good for lunch with coworkers like us, or for a visit with friends or a date.

Burgers at bd Burger Seongsu start around ₩11,900 for the Wasabi Shrimp and ₩12,900 for the Double Cheese Burger, and there's apparently a Happy Lunch Set discount on weekdays from 11:30 to 13:00.

In particular, the Happy Lunch Set discount runs weekdays 11:30–13:00, so you can eat a bit more affordably during lunch hour.

What we ordered for a coworker lunch, plus the self-bar

We ordered the Wasabi Shrimp burger, a drink, and Butter Garlic Fries. After ordering, you can grab forks, knives, small plates, plastic gloves, ketchup and hot sauce from the self-bar.

bd Burger has quite a variety of burgers, and among them there were a lot of shrimp burger options. After going back and forth on what to get, we ended up ordering the Wasabi Shrimp burger, a drink, and Butter Garlic Fries!

Once you order, you can grab forks, knives, small plates, plastic gloves, plus ketchup and hot sauce from the self-bar. Most of it matched bd Burger's main color scheme, which felt trendy and made everything look even more hip.

I made sure to grab some hot sauce too!

Wasabi Shrimp burger: how the shrimp patty tastes

bd Burger Seongsu's Wasabi Shrimp (₩11,900) is a handmade burger with a shrimp patty and wasabi sauce. The patty was thick and you could really bite into actual shrimp, which felt clearly different from a typical shrimp burger.

Wasabi Shrimp burger — real shrimp texture! Once you get the burger, the patty itself is pretty thick. Taking a bite, you could really feel the shrimp, definitely different from a typical shrimp burger.

The shrimp patty comes with fresh vegetables and wasabi mayo sauce on top. Despite the name, it's not nose-tinglingly strong wasabi — just a pleasantly zingy kick. That kept the thick shrimp patty from feeling heavy, so it was easy to enjoy all the way through.

Butter Garlic Fries: enough for two to share

The side we ordered, Butter Garlic Fries (₩6,900), comes with plenty of butter garlic sauce generously poured over the fries. The portion was sizable, better shared between two than eaten alone.

And since burgers alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, we also ordered Butter Garlic Fries! The fries were loaded with butter garlic sauce, delivering a proper sweet-and-salty flavor!

Is bd Burger a good lunch near Seongsu Station?

As a Seongsu Station burger lunch, bd Burger Seongsu was satisfying. The springy shrimp texture and zingy wasabi sauce of the Wasabi Shrimp burger, paired with the Butter Garlic Fries, made for a filling lunch.

Working in Seongsu means going through a whole lot of restaurants, but there's still fun in discovering a new Seongsu Station spot every so often. This visit to bd Burger with my coworker was one of those finds!

The Wasabi Shrimp burger in particular had that great springy shrimp texture, and the wasabi sauce cut through the richness in a way that really suited my taste. With the Butter Garlic Fries on the side, the portion was filling enough for a satisfying lunch.

If you're the type who goes hunting for lunch spots like this haha, next time you're craving a burger near Seongsu Station, bd Burger is worth a stop. If you especially like shrimp burgers, the Wasabi Shrimp comes recommended! Next time I'll have to try the other shrimp burgers one by one :)
