Stroller-friendly sushi restaurant near Nampo Station: Moshi Moshi

We went for a weekday dinner with our baby to Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, a Japanese sushi restaurant near Nampo Station in Busan.

Being located in a department store dining hall made parking easy and pushing the stroller around simple, and best of all we got to enjoy delicious sushi. Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok is on the 10th floor dining hall of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. It's connected to Nampo Station subway, so getting there by public transit is easy too. Since it's a department store parking lot, the space is spacious and convenient. Note that parking support hours vary depending on how much you spend.

We parked underground and moved comfortably by elevator. Traveling with our 9-month-old, it was great being able to push the stroller around easily. There's also a nursing room next to the culture center on the 10th floor dining floor, which was convenient.

Taking the elevator up, the restaurant was visible right away. We visited a bit early in the evening, and the wood-toned interior really caught my eye.

Inside Moshi Moshi Sushi Gwangbok: seating with a stroller

I liked the open, spacious feel of the interior. Moshi Moshi is a sushi restaurant I really love — the flagship Busan National University location is near my house, so I'm a regular there. The tables were the same as at the flagship store, which made me trust it more, knowing it's directly operated by the company. There's a high chair too. We just pushed the stroller in and either sat the baby in it or held her.

We ordered Set 4 (2–3 person set): 18 pieces of sushi + shrimp tempura + choice of noodle (we chose soba), and Assorted Sushi A: 10 pieces of sushi + vegetable salad + tofu salad + soup.

How did Set 4 and Assorted Sushi A taste?

First they set out the vegetable salad, tofu salad, and pickled radish (rakkyo), pickled ginger, and yellow pickled radish to eat alongside the sushi. One reason I love Moshi Moshi is that the vegetable salad and tofu salad sauces are amazing. Every time I eat there, I think 'yep, this is delicious' all over again.

The sushi that comes with Set 4 arrived right away. You can choose between 'good' and 'better' grade sushi — we went with 'good.'

The sushi for Assorted Sushi A also came out immediately. Moshi Moshi's sushi has thick cuts placed perfectly proportioned over the rice, so one bite is even better.

Uploading these photos is making me want to eat it all over again. They're generous with the delicious wasabi too, which I think a lot of people will appreciate. Fresh, delicious Moshi Moshi Sushi~ And what makes Moshi Moshi special is the sauces on top of the sushi — they have a lot of their own secret sauces.

Shrimp tempura and soba in Set 4

As we were eating, they also brought out the shrimp tempura and soba. Moshi Moshi's shrimp tempura — this is another dish I really love. Just looking at it, you can tell it was fried in clean oil. The piping hot shrimp tempura is genuinely delicious. The soba is great too. Everything on the menu is a thumbs-up!

We ate well and enjoyed every bite.
