Full at weekday lunch: inside Moshi Moshi Sushi and its seating

I visited right at weekday lunchtime and it filled up in no time. If I'd been just a little later, I might have had to wait myself — that's how popular it is.

The interior stands out for its clean, bright design. There are plenty of 4-person tables, so I could eat in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

After ordering, the vegetable salad, tofu salad, pickled ginger, pickled radish (rakkyo), yellow pickled radish and soup came out first. The tofu salad with its savory sesame dressing — I refill this every single time I visit.

Plate of char siu included in Set 2

Char siu pork in Set 2

Char siu with an amazing tender texture.

Tender char siu pulling apart along its grain

The char siu was there — then it was gone. It melted the moment it hit my mouth. 😋 It was so tender it fell apart along its grain, almost too soft to pick up with chopsticks.

Yaki udon with seafood and char siu

The moment it hit the table, I was surprised by the sheer amount. Packed with fresh seafood like shrimp and squid plus tender char siu, no matter how much I ate the portion barely seemed to shrink. Savory bonito flakes, chewy springy udon noodles, and crisp vegetables all came together — I ate until I was full.

Shrimp tempura (small), 11,000 won

Crispy outside, tender inside — that's shrimp tempura.

You can't skip shrimp tempura at a Japanese restaurant! Inside the crunchy batter, the plump shrimp had a springy bite that kept me reaching for more.
