Today I'm bringing you a review of Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch!

I'd spotted this place a few times while looking for somewhere to eat near Suwon Station.

I thought it'd be worth introducing to anyone looking for Suwon Station restaurants or Time Villas restaurants, so I went ahead and visited.
Where is Mirim Yangjang? 3rd floor of Time Villas Suwon, right on the shopping route
Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch is on the 3rd floor of Time Villas Suwon, so you can stop in for a meal without having to travel far while shopping. The flow is great, and it's easy to swing by before or after shopping 🥢
The biggest advantage is being able to shop at Time Villas and take care of a meal all in one go! 🛍️
The storefront is decked out in a bold red that really catches your eye. Through the glass window you can see the ducks roasting away invitingly, which makes it a place that draws a second glance even if you're just passing by.
Mirim Yangjang seating and the best time to visit
The interior is spacious with plenty of seats. The tables have generous spacing, which made things really comfortable — I didn't have to worry about being overheard while chatting. That said, weekend lunch is a popular time here! If you're looking for a Time Villas Suwon restaurant, keep that in mind when you visit!

At Mirim Yangjang, besides Peking duck you can also order meal dishes like jjamppong and fried rice, which made it great for a group to share according to everyone's preferences.
What comes in the 59,000 won half Peking duck set
What I ordered was the half Peking Duck Set for 59,000 won. It comes with half a Peking duck plus two meal dishes.

The moment the dishes arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was the Peking duck! As expected, it did not disappoint — the visuals on that duck were something else.

The duck skin was roasted to a golden brown with a glossy sheen, and it came sliced neatly into bite-sized pieces.
The skin was crispy and savory, while the meat underneath was soft and mild, so eating skin and meat together made for a great combination of flavors. It's even better wrapped in the thin pancake!

Eating it with the sauce and vegetables brought out the duck's flavor while cutting through the richness, so I kept reaching for more.

How to eat it: duck skin dipped in sugar, meat in thin pancakes
Pro tip: the duck skin tastes best dipped in sugar

Honestly, I think the skin is the real kicker here haha. It's so savory and chewy... a part I just kept wanting to eat more of.
Jjamppong and fried rice, the two set meal dishes
I got the set menu, but if you're ordering just the Peking duck, try adding a meal dish too 🍜! Peking duck alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, so I ordered jjamppong and fried rice as meal dishes. (Having a bit of everything made the flavors varied and enjoyable.)
First up, the spicy 🌶️ jjamppong broth! Taking a sip of the broth between bites of Peking duck felt refreshing and cleared the palate.

Pairing the duck dish with the spicy jjamppong worked really well together, and it made for a satisfying way to finish off the meal.
🍳 Fried rice topped with a soft-fried egg. It came with a big fried egg on top, so it looked appetizing right away.
The fried rice itself was fluffy and light, and eating it with the jjajang sauce drizzled on top gave it a familiar yet filling flavor.
If you want to shop at Time Villas and enjoy delicious Chinese food at the same time, this Time Villas restaurant is well worth a stop!
