Girls' weekend beef BBQ booked on Naver in Uijeongbu: Supsok Oki Jip

Today I'm sharing an honest review of a rising Uijeongbu beef spot near Uijeongbu Station with great vibes and top-notch meat quality: Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch. Three of us girls went for a long-overdue meet-up, and the seats and location were so good it'd make a great date spot in Uijeongbu, or a perfect place for a family gathering or company dinner. Let me introduce it right away!

Where is Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch, and what is it like inside?

Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch, an Uijeongbu favorite, is right next to Uijeongbu Station, an easy walk away, so accessibility was really good. It uses both the 1st and 2nd floors, so the restaurant is spacious and comfortable, with a cozy, emotional interior that really stood out.

From the moment you walk in, Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch feels like stepping into a little forest in the middle of the city — that impression stuck with me. It's amazing how much care they put into making even the interior feel like a forest!

We booked ahead through Naver Reservation, and they had everything set up right on time when we arrived... there's really a reason places like this do well! The seats were spacious and comfortable too, which made it even better.

They gave us side dishes, sauces, and a soup — the soup was perfect to have before the meal. And the fact that they set everything up on a tray sized to the number of people was so great, haha.

Here's the menu board of Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch, an Uijeongbu restaurant! The name literally translates to something like 'forest-hidden Oki's house,' and true to that, it's mostly soup and beef dishes — an interesting name and menu!

The menu was pretty simple — the main dishes were hwangje neukgansal (premium short rib), diced beef short rib, and house-made LA galbi. That day we were craving seasoned ribs, so this is what we ordered!

• Beer ₩5,000 x 3 bottles

The fact that they give you gopchang jeongol (offal hot pot) and curry just for adding ₩10,000 on your first order is such great value, and the meat portions weren't small either, so I recommend ordering according to your headcount :)

While waiting, I looked around the restaurant and it was packed with weekend afternoon customers. I'd seen YouTubers and influencers recommend it as an Uijeongbu Station restaurant before, but I didn't realize it was this popular — turns out it's even more popular than I expected 🫢 Plus, since there's a second floor, it seems like a lot of groups come here too!

The ₩10,000 set add-on: gopchang jeongol offal hot pot and curry

Not long after waiting, the food was ready — the set that came out along with the meat! For ₩10,000 we got to try both the gopchang jeongol and curry soup, and the quality was great too... it was perfect as a drinking snack too!! It was so nice for us since we like to have rice and soup with our meat order, it went really well with alcohol, and above all it was cheap — everything about it was just right :)

And the moment the 3 servings of hwangje neukgansal (premium short rib) we ordered arrived, I let out a gasp. The distinctive look of neukgansal, with red lean meat and savory fat mixed in perfect proportion, clear marbling, and vivid, fresh color — even before grilling, I could tell this was the real deal! I've finally found my go-to Uijeongbu beef spot!

And putting it on the charcoal grill made it impossible not to be delicious...! The moment we laid the neukgansal neatly on the heated charcoal grill, it started sizzling with a delicious sound, and the rich, savory meat aroma was amazing! The garlic seasoning went so well with the neukgansal, making this Uijeongbu Station meat restaurant even more enjoyable.

Looking at it again, the composition and quality were so great — I really want you to try eating it exactly like this!! If you order meat and just add the ₩10,000 set, you get a whole table like this set up for you—!

The key with hwangje neukgansal is grilling it with the grain intact, so it's crispy outside while trapping the juices inside as it browns nicely! The moment I bit into it, the distinctive springy, chewy texture of neukgansal filled my mouth as the savory juices burst out. There was no gamy smell or greasiness at all, and the umami of the meat itself was so good!

Close to Uijeongbu Station, easy for drinks with soju and beer

So naturally we ordered beer and soju right away! With meat this delicious and such a great set, there was no way we could skip drinks! Since it's close to Uijeongbu Station, I highly recommend taking public transit and enjoying the beef-and-drinks combo :)

I did take a photo of the gopchang jeongol too, but since I snapped it while a bit tipsy, it didn't come out well ㅠㅠ So here's the curry instead, haha. I personally prefer curry over jjajangmyeon anyway, so I enjoyed it even more. Plus the curry had meat in it too, and they even served it with rice on top — every little detail was covered, and it tasted great too. I wasn't going to order the set at first, but they strongly recommended it, so I trusted them and ordered it, and I was so satisfied.

Since the meat itself was so good, even just dipping it lightly in coarse salt gave a clean, savory flavor! It was also fun pairing it with Supsok Oki Jip's basic side dishes. Eating it with the special soy sauce, fresh kimchi, and other side dishes, the 3 servings of neukgansal disappeared in the blink of an eye. The more you chew, the more savoriness bursts out — that's the charm unique to neukgansal, and it was the best!

The gopchang jeongol was especially delicious too...! Even a friend who says she never drinks ended up having a drink with these dishes, haha.

Jjagyechi for ₩5,000 and the final verdict on Supsok Oki Jip

Everything we ordered at Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch was delicious! In particular, the jjagyechi (spicy chicken feet and rice cake stir-fry) we added midway is ₩5,000, and it comes with an amazing amount of green onion kimchi on top — you have to add this one too! (On weekdays, they even hand out free jjagyechi coupons through Naver Place — such a generous shop...!) We visited on the weekend so we ordered it separately, but I recommend it as a side dish that's worth every won!

Everything we ate at Supsok Oki Jip Uijeongbu Station Main Branch — the chewy, juicy neukgansal, and the neat side dish spread — was a completely satisfying meal with nothing missing! The staff were kind too, so we could enjoy the meat in a comfortable atmosphere the whole time.
