Did you know there's a pork belly restaurant in Uijeongbu that's open 24 hours? I've been losing too much weight lately, so today I came for pork belly to fill up properly.

Open 24/7, no days off — isn't that impressive? They're open normally even during Chuseok holiday, just so you know.

The exterior had that friendly feel of an old-school neighborhood BBQ spot, haha. It's on the first floor of the building, and the big "Geuttaegeujip" sign caught my eye right away, so it was easy to find even on a first visit.

Inside Geuttaegeujip: does it work for groups?

Inside, the tables were arranged quite large, which looked good for eating with several people.

When I actually visited, two tables were dining as groups! I thought it'd be great for hanging out with friends, as well as for work dinners or family outings.

Opening the chair lids reveals storage space for bags or coats, which cut down on my clothes and belongings absorbing the meat smell during the meal, haha.

A certificate for selling Korean domestic pork was posted on the wall. It got me even more excited before I'd even eaten anything.

How to get 50% off sundubu sujebi at Geuttaegeujip

A sign in the restaurant said customers who eat meat get 50% off sundubu sujebi (soft tofu dumpling soup), haha. Just so you know!

Side dishes and wrap vegetables

When you order meat, a variety of side dishes come out with it as standard.

They gave us plenty of kimchi and lettuce for wraps, which was great to eat alongside the meat.

Is 3 servings of pork belly enough for two?

We ordered 3 servings of pork belly. As soon as the meat came out, my sister and I both said the same thing at the same time: "Wait, this is a lot for 3 servings?" haha.

I've had pork belly a few times recently and always started with 3 servings, but seeing the amount this time, it felt more generous than other places I usually go to. Maybe it's just me?

The cauldron-lid grill was such a nice touch, haha.

They laid the meat down for us, haha. This is exactly the kind of pork belly I love — just the right thickness!!

We grilled some kimchi too, and it was seriously delicious.

Kimchi stew and fried rice to finish

It felt like a shame to just eat meat, so we ordered kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) too, haha. It was really tasty, haha.

At the next table, they were stir-frying fried rice piled up like a mountain, haha. It looked so good that we ordered it too.

Oh, and the owner was really kind, haha. Not just kind in a general sense, but the kind of warmth where you could tell they genuinely made customers feel comfortable.

Thanks to that, I felt good throughout the whole meal, for no particular reason. 😊

We even made a heart shape with the grilled meat.

The meat quality was really good, and grilling it on the cauldron lid made it so delicious!

Would I go back to Geuttaegeujip?

Would I return? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'd visited once before, and coming back this time, the pork belly was just as good and the portions were generous, so I was satisfied.

Best of all, since it's open 24 hours, you're not really restricted by time when visiting, and the owner was warm enough that I felt genuinely welcomed. I think I'll come back whenever I'm craving pork belly or want meat late at night. 😋
