How to find Modam Urban in Yeouido

Modam Urban is a Korean restaurant near the CGV on L3 of IFC Mall. You can find it easily right inside the mall.

Clean from the outside already. There's a reason it has a table for formal family meetings on the menu. It really gives off a upscale IFC Mall Korean restaurant feel.

There's an easy-to-read menu board at the entrance, which I love. You can check all the menu items at a glance before going in. I really like restaurants like this 👍

Inside Modam Urban at IFC Mall: how many fit in the room?

Modam Urban's room fits from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 20 people, so even group gatherings are possible. The interior is very clean and pleasant, with lots of 2-person tables in the big hall. The atmosphere feels upscale.

Modam Urban's advantage is the spacious room inside. True to a Korean restaurant that even has a menu for formal family meetings, there are quite a few private rooms.

We sat in a space divided off to one side by a partition, which was also cozy. The table comfortably seats up to 4, and every table has an induction stove.

What's on the Modam Urban menu?

This is the menu at Modam Urban, a Korean restaurant recommendation in Yeouido's IFC Mall. The menu has a variety of special Korean dishes, and honestly everything looked delicious. We chose the day's limited rice pot and the minari hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef tartare over rice with minari).

The six appetizers that come with every main dish

At Modam Urban, ordering a main dish comes with six appetizers served like a course. We ordered the day's rice pot for ₩23,900 and the minari hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap for ₩29,900.

Mung bean porridge topped with black sesame. A soft, nutty porridge that's nice to have before the main meal — settles the stomach comfortably.

Salad with whole-grain yuzu dressing. A refreshing salad, crisp and bright 😊

Mushroom pyeonyuk (thin-sliced boiled mushroom) with truffle-seasoned chamnamul (aster). I'd never had mushroom pyeonyuk before and it was different from what I expected — surprisingly fragrant with a fun texture. Best eaten wrapped up together with the chamnamul.

Spicy mushroom gangjeong (sweet-crispy glazed bites). Crispy outside, moist inside, made from mushrooms. All the mushrooms here have such great aroma.

Cold platter with smoked duck. A healthy, protein-packed cold dish that let us eat lots of different vegetables — I loved that.

Perilla oil cappellini. Loaded with perilla oil, which I love — a cold pasta? Full of perilla aroma, so delicious.

Cappellini is the name of that noodle — much thinner and longer than regular spaghetti; it means "thin hair" in Italian.

Today's solbap at 23,900 won and minari hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap at 29,900 won

Modam Urban's mains are the rice pot and the yukhoe bibimbap. The main dish comes out while you're still working through the appetizers — very much a proper Korean restaurant experience.

Today's rice pot, ₩23,900. Modam Urban's daily limited rice pot is a signature dish made with seasonal ingredients, changing deliciously by season. When I visited, the rice pot was a truffle mushroom rice pot — full of truffle aroma.

If you dislike truffle scent, this might be too much for you — it was packed with truffle aroma. I love truffle, so I ate every last grain happily.

Minari hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap, ₩29,900. Full of minari and good vegetables, plus quality hanwoo (Korean beef) yukhoe (raw beef tartare). Modam Urban seems to know how to make the most of fresh ingredients' aromas — this bibimbap was full of minari fragrance.

I love minari too, so I got to enjoy it fragrantly and deliciously 😋

A bite of dessert to finish. The closing course was the best too.

Is Modam Urban worth it for a group dinner?

Modam Urban, a Korean restaurant recommendation in Yeouido's IFC Mall, has a clean and healthy taste. Everything from the appetizers to the mains was delicious, and the dishes were fresh, healthy and fragrant thanks to seasonal ingredients 😊 A great place to eat after a date in IFC Mall.
