Where to go in Geomdan New Town when you want hot seafood soup
With the weather getting chilly lately, I was trying to figure out what to eat when I got a craving for hot seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), so I went to Taegine Jogae Jeongol Geomdan Ara Branch, a Geomdan New Town restaurant!
Taegine Jogae Jeongol is located on the first floor of the 3M Tower, so it was easy to find. I visited on a weekday evening, and the parking lot was nearly full with a wait, so I ended up waiting about 30 minutes before going inside ❣️

Baby high chairs are standard here too, so it was great for dining with a young child,
and the interior is quite spacious, comfortable enough for gatherings or company dinners too 🌿

Taegine Jogae Jeongol Geomdan Ara Branch is currently running a Naver receipt review event where you get grilled garlic shrimp as a gift, so we joined in on it too haha
They run a self-serve corner too, with extra plates, kimchi, barley rice and white rice for making your own yeolmu (young radish) barley rice, plus ice cream ready to go — the best haha

The bossam set came with vegetables, dried radish strips, and pollack roe, so we could enjoy it deliciously, and it was easy for the kids to eat too!
The clam soup in the soup-bossam set had fish cake in it too, which was great for feeding the kids, and although it's usually made spicy with cheongyang pepper, since we had kids with us, they asked us first and left it out — I loved that hahaha
We ate up all the clams from the soup, added the free noodle refill, and had that too ~
We also made ourselves a solid yeolmu bibimbap, and it was honey-sweet ★ I understood why customers keep coming here nonstop haha
On top of that, my dad and husband polished off the grilled shrimp we got from the Naver receipt review event between the two of them, so I didn't even get to try it before it vanished.... sniff.. lol I'll just assume it was delicious....
Free ice cream after the meal, and why we'll be back
After the meal we had ice cream to cleanse the palate, and oh... it was seriously so good... lol I want to come back just for the ice cream! Lol Maybe that's why this place is so popular...!
They also have a point card system ~ and you can pay with an Ieum card, which is great!
Beyond clam soup, you can try all kinds of seafood dishes like knife noodles, spicy seafood hot pot, steamed seafood, and seafood soup ~ and the self-serve bar is well set up too, so Taegine Jogae Jeongol, a Geomdan New Town restaurant, is guaranteed to satisfy!
I'll have to come back again next time I'm craving something hot, or when I'm thinking about that ice cream ><
