Today I found a place with just the right vibe, and I have to share it with you all — it's the brunch café Meolmeol (멀멀, MURMUR) on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Pangyo. This street is full of cute, pretty little shops, so it's a great neighborhood for a date-night stroll.

Where do you park at Meolmeol Pangyo?

There's a helpful parking sign right at the entrance, so I had no trouble figuring out where to park.

Using the Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot (recommended)

The easiest option is the nearby Baekhyeon-dong public parking lot. Bring your payment receipt after eating and you'll get a 1-hour discount — don't forget to grab it!

Using the parking space to the right of the store

There's also parking space right beside the store. If you park there, make sure to leave your phone number on the dashboard just in case.

A fresh, bright brunch café interior

Step inside and Meolmeol really has that clean, bright brunch café feeling. It's also a great spot for photos.

The signature spicy lemon anchovy pasta

I ordered the spicy lemon anchovy pasta, which is supposedly Meolmeol's signature dish. Anchovy and lemon together — not a combo I run into often, so it caught my eye as something unique. I squeezed a little lemon juice over it, mixed it in, and took a bite — and the reaction was instant: "Wow, this is really, really good!" The savory saltiness of the anchovy comes through clean in an oil pasta style, and just when it could tip into heaviness, a hint of spice and the brightness of lemon cut through it perfectly.

Truffle baby potato fries, a great side

A nice side dish: truffle baby potato fries. Round little baby potatoes fried until golden and crisp, topped generously with rich, smooth truffle sauce. The first bite gives you that crunchy potato texture followed by a mouthful of nutty potato flavor — really good. Moist inside, crispy outside, hard to stop reaching for. Eating it, I thought, "Honestly, this would make a great light daytime wine snack too."

Fresh-squeezed lemon cream tea and americano

To go with the food, I ordered a lemon cream tea and a regular americano.

For the lemon cream tea, it looked like they actually squeeze the lemon and orange fresh on the spot — there was lemon and orange sitting right there. The lemon tea comes topped with a generous layer of soft, fluffy cream and a sprinkle of lemon zest on top, so it looks really pretty too. The bold, tart brightness of the lemon is wrapped in that soft cream in just the right way, making for a drink that's refreshing and sweet at once.

The americano was exactly what I needed to cleanse my palate after the rich pasta and fries. Not overly acidic, with a deep, nutty flavor — a clean cup that's easy for anyone to like.

Raspberry endive salad

No brunch table is complete without something fresh, and this raspberry endive salad delivered. Sweet, juicy peach with crunchy salad greens — that combination just can't fail, right?

A soft, tangy raspberry Greek yogurt sauce is swiped across the bottom of the plate, topped with crunchy endive, sweet peach slices, salty jamón for a savory kick, and rich raspberries and herbs arranged beautifully on top.

It works great as a starter to wake up the appetite, and honestly, it's also the kind of finger-food-style salad that practically calls for a glass of wine.

Is Meolmeol Pangyo worth it for a date?

Meolmeol (MURMUR), the brunch café on Pangyo's Baekhyeon-dong café street, clearly put real care into the most essential part — the taste and combination of the food — not just the pretty interior and photogenic dishes. The brunch menu felt fresh and unique rather than run-of-the-mill, the fresh-squeezed drinks were high quality, and the clear parking guidance made the visit easy.

A space with great atmosphere for daytime brunch or a light evening wine, good food, and a calm setting to spend time in — it was a genuinely satisfying day. If you're looking for a date spot or a great brunch place on Pangyo's Baekhyeon-dong café street, just go to Meolmeol without a second thought!
