Dunsan-dong pasta with bushman bread set and 2-hour parking: Plate

It had been a while since my husband and I went to Galleria Timeworld, and while wondering what to eat, I thought pasta is always right for a date, so we went to a Daejeon pasta spot with great atmosphere.

Where is Plate Dunsan Branch, and how does the 2-hour parking work?

Plate Dunsan Branch, a Daejeon pasta restaurant, is located on the 2nd floor of the Rodeo Building, 34 Dunsan-ro 31beon-gil, Seo-gu, Daejeon. It's really really close from Timeworld!

Hours are daily 11:00 - 21:30. Building parking is available too! They support 1 car per table for up to 2 hours. You know how rare a good restaurant with parking is in Dunsan-dong 👍

Plate, the Daejeon pasta spot, is on the 2nd floor, but there's an elevator in the building so we got there very easily.

Inside Plate Dunsan Branch: the room and the window seats

The place was way more upscale than I expected. The store itself is spacious with generous space between tables. Clean, upscale atmosphere — very satisfying!! There were even baby chairs, so it looked great for visiting with little ones too.

Since we visited early, we got a window seat. The window seats seem to be the most popular for sure. The weather was so nice, plus a green view..💚 A seat where you could really feel the date-night vibe.

How do you pick your fresh pasta noodle at Plate Dunsan Branch?

Plate, the Daejeon pasta spot, is a fresh pasta place where you can choose the handmade pasta noodles to your taste. There are so many noodle types too. If it's hard to decide, you can just go with the noodle that matches the number next to the menu item. They've written down the noodle that pairs best! haha

What comes in the pasta set: salad, soup and bushman bread

We ordered two pastas and upgraded both to pasta sets. The set comes with salad, soup and bushman bread (bushman bread), and spreading fresh cream on the bushman bread was genuinely delicious 😋 Even if you only upgrade one to a set, it seems great for sharing.

How the Chungyang Vongole Cream Gnocchi tasted

The Chungyang Vongole Cream Gnocchi came out first. The gnocchi was chewy with a nutty flavor that paired really well with the spicy cream sauce ㅠㅠ I genuinely gasped eating the gnocchi at Plate, the Daejeon pasta spot 😋 It's really different from sour gnocchi noodles you might be used to. You have to try it. I'm thinking of trying the truffle cream gnocchi next time.

Maybe it's because Plate is a sunlight spot, or a visually stunning spot — however you shoot it, the photos come out pretty.

Steak Cream Ragu with tagliatelle, the noodle we recommend

The Steak Cream Ragù, with such great visuals, showed up too!

I was debating between the regular spaghetti noodle and went with the recommended noodle instead.

That's the noodle called tagliatelle. According to the description, it has the texture of flat kalguksu noodles and absorbs sauce well. The noodle texture was so good and the sauce clung all over it, making it easy to eat. The cream sauce was nutty and delicious too. There's quite a lot of steak on top!

Wow, a group shot, so pretty..🫶 They say Plate, the Daejeon pasta spot, sells not just pasta but pizza and steak too, so it seems worth ordering other menu items together 👍 The table behind us had pizza and it looked so delicious..😋 They say on 10/8 you can get flat iron steak for just 10,000 won, so don't miss that either! We definitely need to revisit around then 😋
