Our main order that day was the ₩33,000 small bossam and the ₩7,000 single jaengban guksu. As soon as we ordered, a neat, generous spread of banchan (side dishes) was set on the table right away. 🥬

Crunchy, sweet-and-spicy dried radish, savory beondegi (silkworm pupae), tangy-sweet pickled onion, sharp cheongyang chili and garlic, ssamjang (dipping paste) and salted shrimp — the spread was so well-rounded that it was perfect for wrapping the meat in all kinds of combinations. ✨

Bossam in particular comes with a fresh chive salad on the side, and the pairing with that chive salad was seriously excellent.

When the small bossam finally arrived, it looked so good it was almost ridiculous — and the first bite confirmed it was hands down the best bossam I've had recently! 👑

How the bossam pork tasted, with no gamy smell

There wasn't a hint of gamy smell, and the lean meat melted softly in the mouth, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of savory fat.

I placed a piece of the tender, well-boiled bossam onto a wrap leaf, piled on tangy-sweet chive salad, spicy dried radish and plenty of garlic, and wrapped it all into one bite — total heaven. 💛

Is one single jaengban guksu enough for two?

We figured bossam alone might leave us wanting more, so we also ordered the single jaengban guksu — and it was a total success too!

The tangy, sweet, refreshing sauce coated the chewy noodles evenly, and wrapping the tender bossam meat in the jaengban guksu noodles made for a perfectly balanced bite. 🍜

Even at the single size, the portion was pretty generous, so the two of us ate ourselves stuffed and couldn't put our chopsticks down. 😋
