Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom is on the 3rd floor of Baekwoon Building, just a 5-minute walk from Sanbon Station. It's open daily from 10:30 to 20:30, though holiday closures vary, so it's worth checking ahead.

The location was so accessible — just 5 minutes on foot from Sanbon Station! This was my first time visiting Sanbon, and honestly, the accessibility from the station makes it a solid recommendation for anyone looking for a Sanbon hair salon! It's above a sushi restaurant, so it stands out and is easy to find!

There's an event banner at the 1st floor entrance, and then you head inside and take the elevator up — it's on the 3rd floor!

Changing room and gown: from walking in to sitting down

As soon as you walk into Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom, they guide you to the changing room and hand you a gown. Personal belongings go in a locker, and the bag the gown came in goes into a collection bin nearby.

I came early, and as soon as I walked in they took me straight to the changing room and handed me a gown!

After changing, I was seated right away with no wait! Ah, right, the roots always get messy after a month... Starting the bleaching made me realize once again just how fast human hair actually grows...

Premium root bleaching step by step, from consultation to foil processing

Root bleaching at Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom started with a consultation and a briefing on things to watch out for, then two designers applied the bleach together. I was told beforehand that since my existing hair level was already high, one round of bleaching might not fully close the gap.

After the consultation and a few notes on things to be careful about, we got into the actual treatment! Since my existing hair level was quite high, I was told that a single bleaching might leave a bit of a difference — but I'd already been handling that the same way at each visit by matching it up on the next round, so it was something I could easily account for. The two designers worked together and applied the bleach quickly!

And then, to help the color lift faster — foil wrapping plus added heat! I looked like a Smurf, right? Haha.

After some time passed, they blended the color further in toward the roots and wrapped me up in foil again! And then, after some more time...

Why the shampoo bed at Aiva Hair was comfortable

Finally, shampoo time! The shampoo bed felt so much more comfortable compared to other salons! At other places my neck usually hurts during the shampoo, but at Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom I genuinely didn't feel any neck pain — it was so comfortable I wanted to just keep lying there! Haha.

I was worried about a visible line, so I kept the processing time shorter than expected, but the color still lifted really well! Turns out there was nothing to worry about, haha.

Toning to match the new roots to the existing hair

They also did a color-matching treatment to blend the new growth with my existing hair! After the color-matching shampoo, a short processing wait~

Root bleaching is usually pretty intense on the scalp, but this time it didn't hurt much at all, so it felt like a really comfortable session overall. Now they started the blow-dry!

The two designers teamed up and dried my hair really quickly haha. For someone impatient like me, having the treatment time cut down like that is honestly such a relief.

Root bleaching result: how much color difference was left?

The root bleaching at Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom finished with barely any color difference from the rest of my hair, even after just one round of bleaching. Even with a shorter processing time, the color lifted well and there was no visible line.

After the treatment, I went back to the changing room to change and grab my things! Even looking in the changing room mirror, the root bleaching I was worried about came out so well — it made me really happy, haha.
