Inside That Man's: chandelier entrance, private room and outdoor terrace

The first thing that greets you is a dazzling chandelier and stylish art easel frames placed around the entrance. It gives off the feel of walking into a little gallery, and I was in a good mood the moment I stepped in.
The interior is done up in a modern, upscale gray-and-white palette, with neatly set mats on every table. The tables are also spaced generously apart, making it an ideal spot for private conversation without being bothered by other diners.
Further inside, there's an independent private room set up with stylish wall art, roomy enough for five or more people to dine comfortably. It looked perfect for wedding-invitation gatherings, family meals out, or wine get-togethers with friends.
For families with kids, there are plenty of kids' chairs on hand, and the restroom inside was spotless from the lighting to the sink — really pleasant to use.
Step outside and there's also an open-air terrace that keeps things feeling airy rather than closed-in. With cute little props and a charming garden set up, it was a great spot to take photos after the meal or just get some fresh air.

Ordering at That Man's from the tablet on the table
Every table has an easy-to-use smart tablet ordering system, so we could look through menu photos and prices at our own pace before ordering.

We decided to go with steak, pasta, and a wine to go with it, and ordered like this.

The tablet screen also showed info on the ongoing 'Naver receipt review event' — leave a review with some tasty photos and you can get dessert perks, so if you're visiting, be sure to check it out!

Once you're seated, a cute little wet wipe comes out along with a neatly set personal plate, fork and spoon.

After that, once the order goes in, warm pre-meal bread and olive oil-balsamic sauce are served in a pretty basket.

The outside was slightly crisp and the inside soft, and dipping it right into the balsamic oil was more than enough to whet our appetite.
Lamb chop steak at That Man's, 43,900 won

The lamb chop steak, the dish I was most looking forward to, came out beautifully and neatly arranged on a large plate.
Grilled to a perfect medium, the lamb had a faint hint of char on the outside and was full of juicy tenderness inside.
Underneath the steak was a generous bed of grilled vegetables — mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, zucchini — and on one side of the plate were whole grain mustard and coarse salt, so it was fun mixing and matching to your own taste.
There was zero gamey smell that lamb can sometimes have, and it was so, so tender that the knife glided right through — one bite in and I blurted out 'this is seriously amazing!' Honestly, the best lamb chop steak of my life.
Seafood tomato spaghetti, 21,900 won
Next up, the seafood tomato spaghetti caught the eye with its generous seafood presentation.

Loaded with clams, scallops, shrimp and other fresh seafood, the sauce itself had a deep, rich flavor of the sea.

The tomato sauce wasn't too sour or heavy — fresh yet classic — and it soaked nicely into the al dente noodles, pairing really well with the lamb chop steak.
The house-made pickles were crunchy and refreshing too, cleansing the palate whenever it started to feel heavy.
Red wine by the glass, 6,900 won

With this atmosphere and this quality of food, wine was a must! The red wine we ordered was fruity with just the right body, pairing beautifully with the juicy lamb chop steak and tomato pasta. When ordering a full bottle feels like too much, getting a glass to set the mood was great value and totally satisfying.

Dessert at That Man's: coffee or fruit sherbet
Once you finish the main meal, they let you choose a dessert!

You can pick coffee or fruit sherbet, and we got one of each to try. The coffee had a lovely fragrance that cleaned up and refreshed the palate after the meal. The fruit sherbet was sweet-and-tart, cool and crunchy — the perfect palate cleanser after steak and pasta!
Not having to move to a separate café to get a dessert this good felt like a real perk.
Is That Man's worth it for an anniversary or date in Ansan?
It's not easy to find a restaurant in Ansan's Jungang-dong that nails all three of mood, food, and dessert the way That Man's Italian does — this was a genuinely satisfying meal.
The staff were kind and the interior is pretty, so this is a spot I'd recommend without hesitation for a date with your partner, a course-meal-and-wine gathering with people you care about, or any time you want to make a special day feel that way. If you're looking to enjoy a proper steak and pasta in Jungang-dong, this is well worth a visit!
