The self-serve bar was especially satisfying, packed full of side dishes and free extra noodles. Salad, napa cabbage kimchi, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) were all neatly provided, leaving nothing to be desired as accompaniments.

The restaurant's signature secret soy sauce has a flavor you can't find anywhere else, pairing wonderfully with the shabu ingredients.

Eating the course: shabu beef, kalguksu noodles, ongsimi and fried rice

I was genuinely surprised the moment the food arrived. The pot was overflowing, packed to the brim with everything from meat to vegetables. The enoki mushrooms, alba cabbage, bok choy, and dumplings all felt fresh.

As the broth started to boil, the deep flavor and aroma of the bone broth spread through the air, and my appetite was already fired up.

Cooking the meat lightly and dipping it in the secret sauce was truly perfect — the harmony of juices and soy sauce was spot on. After the vegetables and meat, I dropped in the house-made kalguksu noodles, which were chewy and soaked up the broth beautifully for an explosion of umami.

Eating the chewy, springy ongsimi and the appealing fried rice washed all my stress away.
