Flowerpot Cafe is a bakery café located at 164-12 Gwangdeok 2-ro, Geumbada Building 1F, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's open weekdays from 10:00 to 21:45, and weekends (Sat–Sun) from 09:30 to 21:45, with last order at 21:30. Takeout and delivery are available too!

After getting my hair done bright and early, I headed over with a friend to Flowerpot Cafe in Gojan-dong, Ansan for brunch :) We just went in thinking we'd grab some bread and coffee — but oh my, why are there SO many kinds of bakery goods? I'm a total bread lover, so my eyes went straight into overdrive +_+ Rows of freshly baked-looking bread lined up like that had me looking every which way. So many things I wanted to eat but only one stomach — such a happy dilemma♥

What are the interior and seating like at Flowerpot Cafe?

Flowerpot Cafe is wrapped in greenery right from the exterior, giving off a little-garden-in-the-city kind of vibe. True to its name, the first impression was fresh and warm. Big windows let in plenty of sunlight, and the tables were spaced generously apart, making it a great place to sit and chat with a friend at ease. There's everything from two-person tables to large shared tables, so it works for a date, a friend hangout, or a group visit.

They say Flowerpot Cafe in Gojan-dong, Ansan hand-kneads its dough every dawn and bakes fresh on site! The moment I got near the bakery counter, the sheer variety had my bread-lover heart pounding.

Off to one side there was a microwave along with takeout bags, disposable gloves, napkins, water and cups. You can pack up any leftover bread yourself, and warm up whatever you want to eat — super convenient!

The restroom is also inside the café and split into men's and women's, which made it easy to use.

Flowerpot Cafe's drink menu was super varied — everything from basic Americano to lattes, ades, smoothies, fresh fruit juices and teas.

And now the most important part — the bread!!!!! The happy dilemma of what to pick begins haha. See why any bread lover's eyes would go wide? The bakery had everything from basics like croissants and salt bread to scones, egg tarts, pretzel meringues, guri balls and oatmeal cookies — great snack-style desserts galore. There were also heartier breads like walnut cream cheese, blueberry cream cheese and maron campagne, plus sweet cakes like cheesecake, lemon cake, brownies and Matilda choco cake!

There's also a set menu where the egg sandwich or chicken breast sandwich comes ₩500 off if you order it with an Americano, which makes for a nice brunch. Fall's here, but the days are still hot~ they also had red bean bingsu, injeolmi (rice cake) bingsu and mango bingsu to cool things off! There's even a bingsu set that comes with an Americano, so go ahead and treat yourself to something cool and sweet~

Haha, this is just for two of us, but our brunch spread turned out really generous. A bread lover can never be a light eater in front of bread!

With so many kinds of bakery goods, I agonized for a while and picked ones that felt right for brunch. Every single thing we chose turned out delicious — total success in menu-picking haha. Guess a bread lover's instincts never fail.

Iced Americano, 4,500 won

You can't have bread without an iced Americano! Clean but nutty in flavor, it paired well with both sweet and savory bakery items. A bite of bread, a sip of cool Americano — refreshing and such a good combo :)

Earl Grey milk tea, 6,000 won

A milk tea where soft milk meets the subtle fragrance of Earl Grey. Fragrant black tea filled my mouth as it went down sweet and smooth~! Not heavy at all and refreshing to drink, so it went perfectly with the sweeter breads.

Egg sandwich, 6,800 won

My friend mentioned she hadn't eaten a proper meal yet, so I picked the egg sandwich to fill us up a bit. It came neatly cut in half, perfect for sharing one half each with a friend. We happily munched away together♥

Fluffy bread packed with fresh vegetables and layered generously with ham, egg and tomato! The crisp crunch of fresh veggies plus mild egg, salty ham and juicy tomato made for an amazing combination. A healthy yet filling brunch ✨️ The filling was so generous you had to open wide to eat it haha.

Egg tart, 3,800 won

Golden brown and baked to a look you simply can't resist!

Crisp on the outside, while the inside was moist and melted softly. The nutty, sweet flavor of egg custard blended nicely, making it a great dessert with coffee!!! Not overly sweet, so it wasn't heavy even on an empty stomach.

Basil tomato bread, 5,200 won

The basil tomato bread combined tomato and basil in the best way. Chewy crust, moist inside~ the tomato's tang and basil's fragrance filled my mouth! With a nutty hit of cheese on top, it felt like eating pizza in bread form~ Savory rather than sweet, it was perfect for brunch and paired really well with the Americano too!

The interior is spacious and pleasant, with big windows and plants making it easy to relax and chat for a while!! With hearty sandwiches and desserts on offer, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a brunch café in Gojan-dong, Ansan. Planning another bread pilgrimage next week, hehe.
