Seongsu café with an oat-milk matcha latte and pistachio choux: T
In short
T Coffee is a quiet, wood-toned café on the basement level at 159 Achasan-ro in Seongsu, Seoul. On a weekend date visit, the order was an iced americano, a matcha latte switched to oat milk, and a pistachio choux, and the matcha and oat milk turned out to be an especially good match. For a café off the crowded main streets of Seongsu with wide seat spacing and almost no noise, T Coffee is the answer.

Why T Coffee is a quiet pick for a weekend date in Seongsu
T Coffee is a café on the basement level of 159 Achasan-ro near Seongsu Station, and it's one of the rare quiet spots in Seongdong-gu even on weekends. I finally had a Seongsu date with my boyfriend after a looong while.
Seongsu is always packed with people, weekday or weekend, right? Which makes a truly quiet café feel precious. And finding a café with the exact vibe I want isn't easy either. Today I'm introducing 'T Coffee' in Seongsu — a place with a cozy, quiet atmosphere. It's basically the only quiet café in Seongsu, and the interior is totally my taste 🤍 Let's start the review.
Where is the T Coffee entrance? Same door as Pizza Slice, basement level
T Coffee's entrance is shared with Pizza Slice, so you go in through that same door. The café itself is one level down, in the basement.

Since it's shared with Pizza Slice, you come in through here!

It's on the basement level! Since it shares space with Pizza Slice, just go through this door. Don't be thrown off!

This café is right next door to Pizza Slice, which I reviewed before! If you go to Pizza Slice and then come to T Coffee, the route is perfect — great flow whether it's a hot summer or cold winter haha.

What we ordered at T Coffee: oat-milk matcha latte and pistachio choux
At T Coffee we ordered an iced americano + matcha latte (switched to oat milk) + pistachio choux. Some other cafés these days don't even allow an oat milk swap, so I was happy this one did.
Because of my skin, I always switch to oat milk when I can! Did you know matcha and oat milk actually go really well together? Highly recommend this combo 💚

They have a variety of desserts. I ordered the pistachio choux out of all of them. As a certified pistachio fanatic, this was the item I was most excited about!

How quiet is T Coffee? Seat spacing and noise in busy Seongsu
T Coffee has plenty of open seating, which I loved. The tables aren't packed tightly together — they're spaced a little apart, so it never felt crowded.
And even when there are a lot of customers, everyone keeps their voices down, so it really feels like an oasis in energy-draining Seongsu!

The vibe is so wood, wood, wood, right? I love a wood-toned café, so this was totally my taste!

There's a big window with lush green trees behind it, so I snuck in a few photos haha. I don't usually take many photos, but I suddenly wanted to shoot here, and they turned out better than expected haha. The photos come out pretty nice here 🍃

How do the pistachio choux, iced americano and matcha latte taste?
Finally, the pistachio choux arrived! The nutty pistachio spread was so good! Even my boyfriend, who isn't really into pistachio, said it was delicious haha. Highly recommend the pistachio choux!

The iced americano and matcha latte came out quickly too! Isn't the crema on top of the americano so pretty? It had a nice level of acidity that made it even tastier.

My favorite matcha latte! Do I even need to say how well matcha and oat milk go together? So good ㅠ I could come back just for the matcha latte alone. Definitely try it with the oat milk swap :)
Final thoughts on T Coffee in Seongsu
Being able to enjoy well-made drinks and real rest in the middle of a loud city center was more satisfying than I expected. The main streets of Seongsu are always crowded, so I sometimes needed a place to slow down — and the moment I stepped inside, the mood completely changed.
The interior is understated and tidy, not overdone, and the faint scent of tea made me feel calm inside too. The seats aren't cramped, so it seems like a great place to chat quietly or spend time alone reading a book.
I think I'll come back soon whenever I want to unwind in this calm atmosphere! If you're in Seongsu, definitely check it out ❤️
