Light enough for breakfast, easy enough for a simple lunch or dinner with a drink — let me tell you about a sandwich spot in Ulsan. I visited with a friend and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere plus the beans this Nam-gu brunch café blends and roasts in-house. Let's get into it 👐
Where is Benetto, and where can you park near Ulsan City Hall?
Benetto sits on Jungang-ro 213beon-gil in Nam-gu, Ulsan, across from City Hall's north gate, in the building next to Café 16oz. It's a red-brick building, so it was easy to spot at a glance.

There's no dedicated parking lot, but on weekdays from 11:30 to 14:00 you can park roadside, and the City Hall lot gives you 1 hour free. On weekends and holidays, roadside and City Hall parking are available any time — worth keeping in mind.
Inside Benetto: atmosphere and seating
Inside, Benetto has a warm, cozy feel with wood-toned interiors. It's arranged with a bar table and regular tables, so it works well for a small visit like mine, and it also seemed fine for a bigger group chatting away.

Benetto's menu, prices and discounts
Let's take a slow look at Benetto's menu :) There was a wide range of drinks — americano, café latte, caramel latte, affogato-type coffees, plus herbal tea, fruit tea, iced tea, ginger tea, ade, and strawberry latte.

On top of that, you get ₩1,000 off for takeout, and ₩500 off if you bring your own tumbler.

Being an Ulsan brunch café, they also had sandwiches and cheesecake, though unfortunately when I visited these had just come out and weren't displayed yet. When I asked, the owner said the Mexican beef and BBQ chicken grill sandwiches wouldn't take too long, so I ordered those.
How the Summer Apple and vanilla bean latte taste with house-roasted beans
What I ordered at Benetto: Summer Apple ₩6,000, BBQ chicken grill sandwich ₩9,000, vanilla bean latte ₩5,000, and Mexican beef grill sandwich ₩10,000.

Summer Apple is a blended herbal tea with apple syrup, and you're meant to stir the settled syrup in before drinking. The bright, clean herbal tea paired really well with the sweet apple syrup, and there were even little jelly bits like in Cocopalm juice, which made it fun to drink.

Since it's a roastery café where you can taste their own blended and roasted specialty beans, I had high hopes for the coffee — and maybe that's why the vanilla bean latte had a deep, rich coffee flavor. It wasn't too sweet, just sweet enough, and finished clean.
Is the BBQ chicken grill sandwich at Benetto any good?
Let's start with the BBQ chicken grill sandwich I was most looking forward to. The marinated tomato served alongside was refreshing and good as a palate cleanser.

The focaccia was warm and freshly toasted, packed with BBQ chicken, onion, tomato, and grilled vegetables. Melted cheese soaked through all of it, and the first bite was just... wow, so good 👀✨

The focaccia was crispy yet chewy, and the tender meat, savory cheese, and crunchy onion balanced really well together. What I liked most was that it wasn't too heavy or intense in flavor, so it felt totally fine to eat as breakfast at Benetto.

How spicy is Benetto's Mexican beef grill sandwich?
The Mexican beef grill sandwich has jalapeño in it, so it was a bit spicy. But not overly so — just enough to leave your mouth feeling refreshed, and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

It was loaded with chadolbagi (thinly sliced beef brisket), so every bite felt really filling. The bread and fillings weren't dry either — moist enough that it went down easily even without a drink.

While I was eating, quite a few people came in just for takeout, and after trying it myself, I could see why. Eating the sandwich with a drink made for just the right amount for a full meal.

Personally, I loved both so much that I think coming with a friend and splitting one of each, like we did, is a great way to go 😆
Is Benetto worth a visit in Nam-gu, Ulsan? Final verdict
Benetto is an Ulsan brunch café where you can enjoy a sandwich and a drink in a calm, warm atmosphere with pleasant music playing, and I had a relaxed time there with my friend.

I'm curious about the jambon basil sandwich too, so I'd like to try that next time I visit. If you're looking for a good brunch spot in Ulsan, I'd recommend Benetto ❤
