Brunch café with City Hall parking in Nam-gu, Ulsan: Benetto
In short
Benetto is a brunch and sandwich café on the first floor of a building directly in front of Ulsan City Hall in Nam-gu. Visiting with my younger sibling, we ordered a jambon basil grill sandwich and a Mexican beef grill sandwich at 10,000 won each, plus an iced caffe latte and an omija fruit tea, and found the freshly baked bread crisp; parking at the City Hall parking garage came to 500 won for 1 hour 5 minutes. Benetto is an easy place to sit quietly and take your time over brunch.

Benetto is a brunch café in front of Ulsan City Hall in Nam-gu that's also a fantastic sandwich spot for breakfast or a snack — here's my honest review, all the way through!

Benetto hours and how to find it by Ulsan City Hall

How much is parking at the Ulsan City Hall parking garage?
First off — since Benetto is right by City Hall, you can park in the City Hall parking garage! But heads up, it's paid parking. 🚗 That said, it's not too expensive. 🚗 After 1 hour and 5 minutes, I was charged ₩500! (My sister, who parked a bit over 1 hour and 40 minutes, said hers came out to ₩900 😄 — good reference for parking fees 🚙)
Back when I used to drive past City Hall all the time, I never noticed this place, but once I actually went looking for it, it appeared right after the turn at the intersection in front of the City Hall main gate — not hard to find at all. 🗺 🙂
Inside Benetto: wood tones and a quiet room
🔻 Inside Benetto

Benetto, the sandwich spot near City Hall, has a cozy, clean wood-toned interior — comfortable and never noisy, which I appreciated even more. 👌

It faces the road and City Hall, but since it's not a road with heavy foot traffic, I didn't feel self-conscious about passersby, and the seats were more comfortable than I expected. 🤗

Jambon basil grill sandwich 10,000 Mexican beef grill sandwich 10,000 Caffe latte (iced) 4,500 Fruit tea (omija, iced) 6,000

There are sandwiches displayed that you can pick straight up, and ones made to order with grilled bread — we ordered the kind that's grilled fresh on request. 🥪

How the grill sandwiches taste: crisp, freshly baked bread
Our order arrived 🤗 — freshly baked, so it was still warm. The outside of the bread was crisp, and eating it warm made it pair beautifully with the fillings inside 💋. This is exactly why I titled this post 'the sandwich spot in front of Ulsan City Hall' — the sandwiches were genuinely, not just marketing-copy, delicious haha.
When something's described as 'crispy,' I sometimes hesitate, worried it might just be hard. But here, maybe because it's served warm, it's exactly the right kind of crisp — I even recorded the sound when cutting it so you can hear just how crunchy it is 👂
On top is the jambon basil grill sandwich, below is the Mexican beef grill sandwich. Each came with two sweetly roasted cherry tomatoes on the side — one bite to start, one bite to finish, which gave the meal a nice, clean bookend. ❣️

The visuals were great too — I didn't plan it this way, but looking at it now, the colors turned out really pretty 😄😁
Drinks at Benetto: iced caffe latte and omija fruit tea

For drinks, my sister — who already loves omija tea — said this one was delicious and drank it all up. I love lattes and asked for mine to be made light this time, and I was satisfied 😗. The coffee paired really well with the sandwich, and if you order it as a set with a sandwich, an americano is just ₩2,000 more!

Two ways to eat a grill sandwich, plastic gloves included
You can cut it elegantly (?) with a fork and knife, or they give you wet wipes and plastic gloves so you can eat it with your hands — how thoughtful is that, giving out plastic gloves? Haha. My easygoing, hungry sister grabbed hers by hand and dug in happily, while I wanted the full brunch experience, so I ate mine daintily (?) with a fork and knife 😁
