Seomyeon bar: egg-topped kimchi dakdoritang, double fried rice
In short
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is a Korean-style bar on the 2nd floor of the Thursday Party 2 building on Dongcheon-ro in Seomyeon, Busanjin, Busan. The order was kimchi dakdoritang (spicy kimchi stew with chicken and beef intestine) under a blanket of egg garnish, cheese bomb potato pancake, flying fish roe rice balls, and a closing fried rice the owner described as "one portion that's like two." The spicy broth and thick beef intestine stood out, and the spread was generous enough to leave the table stuffed.

Between delivering wedding invitations lately, I've somehow been eating incredibly well, haha. Last week too — went to a bar in Seomyeon after a while, and the side dishes were so good I left completely satisfied. This is Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, a Seomyeon spot known for great anju (drinking snacks). We ate so enthusiastically everyone nearly burst.
Where Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is and when it opens
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is on the 2nd floor of the Thursday Party 2 building in Seomyeon. It's fairly close to Seomyeon Station exits 4 and 6 — we walked over from Jeonpo and it wasn't far at all.

Yuumangju, located on the 2nd floor of the Thursday Party 2 building in Seomyeon.

Yuumangju, a recommended Seomyeon bar, is at 31 Dongcheon-ro 85beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, 2nd floor. Hours are Sun–Thu 17:00–03:00, Fri–Sat 17:00–04:00, and Naver Reservation is available.

Yuumangju felt hip from the moment you walk up. Turns out it's run by the owner of Budan, an already famous Seomyeon bar?!

A wide 2nd-floor room for group dinners and private bookings
It hasn't been open long, but Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch already seemed to have a reputation, with quite a lot of customers. The interior is spacious with lots of tables, so it looked great for group gatherings too. Apparently private bookings are possible as well (call ahead for that!!).

There's even a smoking area on the 2nd floor, so smokers will probably be pleased?!

What's on the Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch menu
- O-Dae-Bal (squid + beef intestine + chicken feet) / Yukhoe & shrimp jang-kal bibim
- Kimchi dakdoritang / Boiled pork nurungji chicken stew / Beef brisket seafood stew
- Beef tendon fish cake soup / Soft tofu spicy pork skin / "All in one" chicken combo
- Pork skin chive pancake / Cheese bomb potato pancake / Fire chicken egg pancake
- Pepperoni cream pasta / Tomato pasta
- Flying fish roe rice balls / Aged kimchi rice balls / Fried rice
- Hangover seafood ramyeon / Crab & egg soup / Cheese tomato
- Doenjang rice bowl / Jjapaghetti with kimchi / Spicy kimchi udon
- Mango bingsu / Strawberry bingsu / Blueberry bingsu / Oreo bingsu
The main dishes were fusion-style, mixing all sorts of tasty combinations, and there were so many things that looked delicious. After much deliberation we ordered the kimchi dakdoritang — only to realize afterward that we could've added ramyeon, udon, or flat glass noodles. So disappointing, haha.

The basic side dish was a tasty baguette, coated with something like condensed milk — super sweet and crispy and delicious.

Kimchi dakdoritang: the egg garnish is the kicker
The kimchi dakdoritang came out fast!!! It's a dish combining kimchi, beef intestine, and braised chicken stew, and the kicker here was the egg garnish piled generously on top of the spicy, delicious broth!! The egg garnish, soaked up with the broth, went so well with every ingredient.
Haha, mid-way through filming the food I struck a pose for the camera★
True to its name, a whole kimchi goes in, and you just snip it into easy-to-eat pieces with the provided tongs and scissors.
It came fully cooked so we could dig in right away, which was so nice — and the beef intestine was thick and totally my type. Can you see how amazing it looks?

The moment we took a bite, everyone let out a big "whoa" over the sauce and kept saying how good it was.

The kimchi paired well with both the beef intestine and the chicken, and piling the egg garnish on top made it even more, more, more delicious.
Flying fish roe rice balls and cheese bomb potato pancake
Felt like this dish needed rice, so we ordered flying fish roe rice balls right away, plus the cheese bomb potato pancake.

Haha, scooping out rice-ball-sized portions onto each person's plate is genius...☆ this is what a real rice ball is like(?)!!!

The kimchi dakdoritang was even better eaten with rice, thanks to that tasty sauce.

And then the cheese bomb potato pancake arrived quickly. It's technically a side dish, but the portion was huge, made from grated potato, and the kicker was that it came with fire chicken sauce!!!
Obligatory cheese pull shot. Now I'm curious about the fire chicken egg pancake too...!!!
Whoever thought of pairing cheese potato pancake with fire chicken sauce is a genius, right..?! It goes so well together!!!

Finishing with the "one portion that's like two" fried rice
We left a bit of the kimchi dakdoritang and asked for fried rice!! There was so much sauce left that we ordered one portion, then tried to add another — but the owner said "I'll give you one that's like two," haha, such a clever answer.

And then a truly "two-portions-in-one" fried rice appeared..!! Look at that color, isn't it insane...?!

Haha, while I was taking photos the owner suddenly showed up and drew a heart on it. Pretty decent heart-drawing skills(?). Then he personally scraped up the crispy burnt rice for us, and that part was seriously the best bite. The owner's sense of humor made Yuumangju even better.

Everyone, please make sure to try the fried rice when you visit...★ It's seriously delicious...

The fried rice was also great topped with the cheese potato pancake!! Between the side dishes and the rice, we ate so much we nearly burst..?! Haha

Is Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch worth a visit?
We ate well, walked out satisfied, and even got a photo to prove it. Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch, a Seomyeon spot known for its great anju, has a spacious interior with wide gaps between tables, making it great for chatting with friends or going as a group. There were lots of unique menu items, and since the owner is a genius at combining flavors, you can pretty much trust anything on the menu★ If you're looking for a Seomyeon bar with delicious anju, I recommend Yuumangju!!!!
