Kids' udon set and mazesoba udon near Seongbok Station: Chilseong

These days when I eat out, the first thing I check isn't just the taste but whether it's easy to bring the baby along. Taking a 12-month-old out to eat means there's a surprising number of things to worry about, haha. That's how we ended up at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch (칠성제면소 수지본점).

To cut to the chase, this place is a solid choice for anyone looking for a Suji Seongbok-dong restaurant or a Seongbok Station restaurant for a family meal out. Especially since they had baby chairs and tableware ready — it won me over right from the start haha.

Where is Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch? Hours and parking

Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji is located at 80 Seongbok1-ro, Suji-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi, 1F Unit 104, Seohee Starhills. It's open 11:00–21:00.

Parking is in the building's underground lot, which made driving there easy. Parking is a big deal when you're moving around with a baby, so this was a real plus. If you're looking for a Suji Seongbok-dong restaurant or Seongbok Station restaurant with convenient parking, this should work well.

Inside the restaurant: baby chairs and baby tableware

Inside, Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji has a white-wood tone that's clean and just slightly upscale overall. Not too busy, just a comfortable vibe!

Best of all, there was a baby chair, so our 12-month-old could sit down and eat with us, and they even had separate baby tableware — oh, that kind of attentiveness is great, haha. For anyone looking for a Suji Seongbok-dong restaurant to visit with a baby, this kind of thing probably matters a lot. Among Seongbok Station restaurants, this felt like a good one for a family visit.

What we ordered at Chilseong Jemyeonso

The menu at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji was split into set meals, noodles & rice, and side dishes. After a long think, we ordered mazesoba udon + whole pork loin cutlet, tteokkkochi (rice cake skewers) as a side, and a kids' udon set for the baby.

The menu had more variety than expected, so it was fun just picking what to eat haha.

How do the mazesoba udon and whole pork loin cutlet taste?

The mazesoba udon came out first — I'd never had it before. It's similar to bibim udon but the flavor is richer and the savory umami really comes through. One bite in and I was like, oh? — then I just kept reaching for more. Honestly, way better than I expected. Totally my style haha.

The whole pork loin cutlet was also delicious, and the surprising part was that the sauce underneath was a curry sauce by default! I was surprised how well pork cutlet and curry went together. There was also a separate pork cutlet sauce on the side, so I liked being able to dip it however I preferred.

The tteokkkochi was tasty too — we cleaned the plate. Adding a side dish like this made the meal feel more filling, which I liked haha.

And the thing I was most satisfied with was the kids' udon set. It might be a bit seasoned for a baby, so I rinsed it lightly with water before giving it to her — and to my surprise, she ate it up so well, haha.

Watching her small hands keep reaching for more was oddly proud and adorable, honestly. Our first meal out with a 12-month-old turned out to be a pretty big success, and it let us eat comfortably too.

Overall, the food was good, the space was clean, and the baby facilities were well set up — I think it's a memorable spot for families looking for a Seongbok Station restaurant.
