Today was the day some neighborhood friends and I finally decided to get pizza together. There are so many different kinds of pizza around these days, but today I was craving that classic, traditional pizza taste.

You know, the kind piled high with cheese and generous toppings — the pizza you picture the second someone says "pizza" haha.

While looking around with my friends for a place to go, we found this Wirye pizza spot everyone raves about: Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch.

What the Jackson Pizza dining room is like at 1pm

I visited with my friends at 1pm. The vibe at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch was modern, and the smell of pizza was already making my mouth water :)

Including us, there were 3 tables of customers eating pizza in the store.

At the table next to us, two guys were each eating a whole pizza by themselves! Seeing it in person was genuinely wild haha.

What we ordered and what it cost: Super Jackson (L) and tomato cheese spaghetti

At Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch we ordered a Super Jackson large for ₩38,800 and tomato cheese spaghetti for ₩9,800. We also added coleslaw for ₩3,000 and a cola for ₩3,000.

Chatting with my friends while looking over the menu, we settled on the Super Jackson in a large size for the pizza, and the tomato cheese spaghetti for the pasta.

On top of that we added a cola and coleslaw too.

For the fries, I searched "Jackson Pizza" on Naver, grabbed an instant coupon, and ordered them that way haha.

About 10 minutes later, the pizza came out first.

Super Jackson (L): loaded toppings and real American-style pizza flavor

The Super Jackson pizza looked flashy right from the start. Cheese, pepperoni, and a bunch of other toppings were piled generously on top.

I grabbed a slice while it was still hot, and the taste was even more incredible! It genuinely brought back the taste of pizza I had while traveling in America haha.

Savory cheese, a mix of toppings, and the crust all coming together in one bite — it felt like meeting a proper, traditional pizza taste head-on haha.

Tomato cheese spaghetti at Jackson Pizza: how cheesy is it?

The tomato cheese spaghetti at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch was ₩9,800 and came out a little after the pizza. The pasta was topped with a generous amount of melted cheese.

Twirling it around my fork, it had a tangy, savory taste. The tanginess of the tomato sauce blended really well with the richness of the cheese.

A bite of pizza, then a bite of spaghetti, back and forth — that combo really worked well :)

First visit to Jackson Pizza Wirye? Ask the staff what to order

Since it was my first time there, I wasn't sure what to order.

I asked the staff for their most popular menu items and ordered based on that — and I'm glad I did.

My friends were all enjoying it too, saying

and I was happy about it haha. It was technically my first visit too, but somehow seeing my friends enjoy it made me feel great as well haha.

Good pizza makes me think of family: coming back with my pizza-loving daughter

When you eat something delicious, you think of your family, right? I thought of my daughter, who loves pizza!

When I get home, I'm going to tell her right away that I found a great Wirye pizza spot haha.

Craving some classic, traditional pizza with my neighborhood friends, we found our way to this Wirye pizza spot, Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch.

From the Super Jackson pizza to the tomato cheese spaghetti, we ate, enjoyed, and headed home very happy.

The moment my friends said we really came to the right place is what stuck with me :) Once I tell my pizza-loving daughter about it, I'd say there's a 120% chance I'm back there this weekend haha.

Next time I'll come with my pizza-loving daughter and try Jackson Pizza's ambitious signature item I didn't get to this time — the Korean-flavor Jackson Bulgogi Cheddar Jalapeño :)
