Han River yacht ride with a 14-month-old in Seoul: Sailing Paradise

We went on a family outing to the Han River. It was our first time riding a yacht on the Han River, and we came home with precious memories that will stay with us for a long time.

Where is the Sailing Paradise marina?

Sailing Paradise has a marina near Yeouinaru Station. It is about a three-minute drive or a 15-minute walk from the station.

You can park at Yeouido Parking Lot 1. It is a paid lot, and we arrived early, so I do not remember the exact amount—but it was about ₩5,000 for around two hours.

We made our reservation through Naver Booking, and it is best to arrive 20 minutes before boarding. You need to fill out a boarding declaration when you arrive.

We arrived much earlier than expected, so we spent some time looking around the Han River, watching buskers, and letting Yeon-i run around by the riverside.

It was our first Han River yacht experience. Yeon-i had never really seen a river or the sea since she was born, so I was excited to see how she would react to this new scenery.

How to find the office

Go to where you see the Han River Barbecue sign. Do not go in there; instead, immediately take the stairs on the left going down.

From there, just follow the Sailing Paradise arrows and you will easily find the Sailing Paradise office. Write down every passenger's personal details on the boarding declaration, and then, when it is time, off we go to the yacht!

Group yacht experience: adults ₩30,000, children ₩18,000

Maybe because it was a weekday and there were not many passengers, our yacht was small. It seems they use different yachts depending on the number of reservations. It was a group yacht experience, but it felt private! I actually liked the cozy yacht better. I think we picked a great day to come.

Sunset Han River views from the yacht

Once you board, there is a space like this at the back of the yacht. But to feel the river breeze and take in the views, you need to head outside.

We spent the whole yacht tour in this spot, watching the river and the scenery. It was a hot day, but the river breeze felt cool, and the sky and views changing moment by moment at sunset were so unusual and beautiful.

You also get one glass of wine and one cracker! Sitting on the yacht with the river breeze, listening to the water flowing and lovely music with a glass of wine... it felt like heaven. My husband was driving, so his glass too became mine—two glasses for me, haha.

The atmosphere was no joke! I thought it would be such a great course both for a date and for a special family outing.

We went at 7 pm, right when the sun was setting, so it was bright at the start of the yacht experience but dark by the end. The scenery keeps changing, and that is part of the fun of watching it!

What was the Han River yacht ride like with a baby?

Honestly, before trying this yacht experience, I had been to the Han River many times and did not expect it to feel this special.

We came simply wanting to show our baby new scenery, but the Han River viewed from a yacht felt very different from seeing it from the riverbank.

I loved having time to leisurely enjoy the scenery from a yacht moving along at a gentle pace.

For a course like this, ₩30,000 per person also felt like excellent value.
