7 pm Han River yacht tour with bridge lights, Seoul: Sailing Paradise

In short

Sailing Paradise is a yacht-tour experience on the Han River in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. I boarded the 7 pm yacht with a friend on August 13, watched the 19:28 sunset, and stayed for the lights of Wonhyo Bridge. For sunset lovers, Sailing Paradise’s 7 pm slot is just right.

Today, I went to Sailing Paradise in Yeouido for a yacht tour where you can take in Seoul’s night views all at once.

Sailing Paradise, a Yeouido date idea

I’d wholeheartedly recommend Sailing Paradise’s Yeouido yacht tour as a date idea! It was easy to find if you headed toward the duck boats :) The huge “Paradise” sign and windmill blades made it impossible to miss!

I went down the stairs following the Sailing Paradise signs, then waited inside the office. I had booked ahead, and it was so easy to reserve through Naver Booking—really convenient!!

On the way to the Sailing Paradise office, there was an Emart24 convenience store and a BBQ Chicken, so they’d be great for picking up food for a picnic at Yeouido Hangang Park after the yacht tour. There was even a Han River ramyeon cooker—how romantic is that? - ♥

Isn’t Namsan Tower behind Wonhyo Bridge and Gangbyeonbuk-ro so pretty? Even the walk there was this beautiful, so I wondered how different it could look once I was on the yacht—but I was totally wrong!!!!

I filled out the boarding declaration form too!!

Yacht tour prices and pre-boarding information

The yacht I boarded was called Humint. They say the night tour can include the Rainbow Fountain show too! Prices vary a little by time, but a 60-minute tour costs ₩30,000. Children are a little cheaper at ₩18,000.

They told me Yeouido fireworks-season yacht slots had not sold out yet!!! Watching comfortably from a yacht would be such a good choice, so I recommend asking if you’re interested.

Quite a few people were riding duck boats too—I definitely need to try one soon 🦢🤍

After a quick explanation in the office, I got right on the yacht :-) I boarded with a friend, along with a lovely mother and daughter and a lovely couple, and there was plenty of room without anyone bumping into each other.

Ta-da =3 They even set out glasses and snacks like this. They were ham-flavored crackers; I didn’t get to try them, but they seemed like they’d be perfect with beer!

They also prepared Heineken beer and Frontera wine, so we could enjoy a drink. There was beer left from the previous time slot, so they brought us extra—but after taking photos and planning to drink it later, it was already all gone ~ .. 🥺

Anyway, you could move to the front of the yacht too. Down below, you could sit comfortably while cruising; upstairs, the cool breeze made it feel much fresher and more open.

The Han River sunset on the 7 pm tour

I reserved the 7 pm slot on August 13. Sunset that day was at 19:28, and it was the perfect time to see the whole sunset. I like sunsets much more than night views, so I chose 7 pm—and it was absolutely spot-on.

This is the view that shattered my silly thought that it wouldn’t look that different from a yacht :-) ... Namsan Tower looked even prettier from the water. Rain had been forecast, so I was a little worried, but I’m a weather fairy - 🧚🏻♀️ Rain, what rain! There were dark clouds, but the sky was clear and Namsan Tower was fully visible, which made it even better.

The sunset slowly began, and the orange sky was so beautiful. Why did those soft, fluffy clouds look so close? It was the kind of backdrop that makes “I’m happy” slip right out.

A tip for taking photos on a yacht

Of course, if you take photos facing the sunset, they’ll be backlit!!! My top yacht-photo tip is to tie your hair up, no question. The wind is stronger than you’d expect and your hair flies everywhere, so tie it up if you want to look even a little neat!..

Taking photos on a yacht in strong wind

I could see the National Assembly Building too, and my boat passed Mapo Bridge and Seogang Bridge, went as far as Yanghwa Bridge, then turned back. The National Assembly Building looked so pretty against the orange sky as well.

The sky slowly turned pink, then the sun set and it grew dark. With the river flowing gently along, my time on the yacht felt like a dream. It was so relaxed and happy ..

A white yacht beneath a pink sky

Taken with my digital camera, it somehow looked a little Shanghai-like—but the white yacht photographs so well too :-)

When we returned to where we had boarded, Wonhyo Bridge was lit up. We got to enjoy a little bit of the night view too, so it felt like I took the yacht at just the right time. Thanks to Sailing Paradise, I think I made an unforgettable memory on the Han River!
