When I visited, there was no wait at all, but during peak meal times or on weekends there could be one, and reservations are possible through Catch Table, so check ahead if you're planning a visit.

Inside the restaurant and how easy is solo dining?
Inside, there were plenty of 4-top and 2-top tables with generous spacing between them, making it comfortable to chat and eat.

There was also plenty of dining space off to the side, so I could eat without any wait ✅

The menu and how tablet ordering works
The menu at Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Dongtan Namgwangjang Branch is mainly cockle jjamppong, jjamppong rice, jjajangmyeon, fried dumplings, and sweet and sour pork. My picks: jjamppong rice and fried dumplings ✔️

To order, you just use the tablet installed at each table.

What one solo diner ordered, and the prices

How did the cockle jjamppong rice taste?
The look of the cockle jjamppong rice alone was mouthwatering — the spiciness was an art form.

Since I ordered jjamppong rice, a bowl of rice also came out.

Looking inside the jjamppong rice, there were really generous amounts of cockles and clams — I found myself wondering, is this even profitable for them?

It's called jjamppong rice, but that doesn't mean there's no noodles — there was a small amount of noodles in there. For people like me who tend to leave noodles behind, jjamppong rice seems like a great choice.

Ate the small portion of noodles, then dropped in the bowl of rice

Mix it all up and eat it with the meat, cockles, and clams piled on top — pure deliciousness.
Fried dumplings and zero cola
And then there's the standout menu item at Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Dongtan Namgwangjang Branch — the fried dumplings. Truly the definition of crispy outside, juicy inside — genuinely... I'm not usually a die-hard dumpling lover who eats them all the time, but this tasted crazy good enough to turn me into one.

After enjoying the jjamppong rice and dumplings, finished it off with a zero-calorie cola — ahh~!

The review event at Bultina
Just so you know, they're running a Naver review event where you can get 6 pieces of fried dumplings for free. This isn't optional — it's a must 😭

Verdict: is Bultina worth it for a solo jjamppong meal in Dongtan?
