Euljiro Western restaurant for groups: cheese fries, Seventy Four

I had plans with friends near Myeongdong Station for the first time in a while! While looking for good restaurants near Myeongdong Station, I found Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, a well-known Myeongdong restaurant. Let's get right into the post :)

Where is Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, and when is it open?

Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch is on the 1st floor of the Familia Chapel building at Myeongdong Cathedral, 66 Myeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul, and it's open daily from 11:00 to 22:30, with last order at 22:00. It's a 7-minute walk from Exit 12 of Euljiro3(sam)-ga Station — a great restaurant to know near Myeongdong!

Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, a great pick near Euljiro3(sam)-ga Station or Myeongdong Station, is located on the 1st floor of the red brick Familia Chapel building! It's right in front of Myeongdong Cathedral, so it's also a good pasta restaurant in Euljiro for anyone looking for a place near Myeongdong Cathedral :)

Finding the entrance: a small door beside the Myeongdong Bookstore stairs

The entrance to Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch is a very small opening next to the stairs going down to Myeongdong Munko bookstore! I didn't know where the entrance was and wandered around out front for a whole 10 minutes, only to find it was right there next to me hahaha.

Terrace seats, group tables and the mood inside Seventy Four

Walking into Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, the first thing I saw was a spacious, pleasant terrace! It's a lovely terrace where you can eat while looking out at the Myeongdong Station street, so it would also be a great spot for a date course in Euljiro!

The hall inside was also a pretty space! The interior is romantic and upscale, great for a date, and the atmosphere was really good :) The tables are mostly 2-tops and 4-tops! You can push tables together for group use, so it's perfect for a get-together in Euljiro :)

How to order at Seventy Four and what four friends ordered

At Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, you order by looking at the menu on each table! They give you a memo pad and pen, and you write down your order on the memo — that's the system!

There's a wide range of Western food menu items. Salads, pizzas, pastas, risottos, steaks, and side dishes too — quite a variety! I ordered the Super Combination Pizza for 29,000 won, Basil Pesto Pasta for 18,000 won, Bacon Mushroom Cream Pasta for 18,000 won, and Regular Cut Cheese Fries for 11,000 won!

Everything I ordered came out soon after! Great-looking pastas, pizza, and fries all arrived. The portions were quite generous too. Doesn't it look like a perfect pasta restaurant to visit in Euljiro?

Super Combination Pizza, 29,000 won

The Super Combination Pizza was a basic-style pizza, but with a distinctive, subtle basil aroma! The cheese was piled on pretty thick, giving it a rich cheesy flavor, and it was loaded with pepperoni, broccoli, mushrooms, olives, and more — a classic-style pizza :)

Bacon Mushroom Cream Pasta, 18,000 won

The Bacon Mushroom Cream Pasta comes with a cream sauce, with finely diced bacon, mushrooms, and broccoli in it, and the cream sauce was quite rich! It had a lot of flavor and was really delicious :) If you like cream pasta, this is a menu item you'll enjoy without fail!

Basil Pesto Pasta, 18,000 won

The next dish I tried at this pasta restaurant in Euljiro was the Basil Pesto Pasta! Since it's basil-based, the sauce was on the thinner side. The basil flavor was strong and the noodle texture was quite good. It wasn't a crumbly flour-style noodle but a slightly wide, fettuccine-style noodle, which was a nice surprise!

Regular Cut Cheese Fries, 11,000 won

The Regular Cut Fries I had as a side had a very thick, gooey cheese sauce coating them, and they went great with beer! Perfect as a side to pick at one by one.

This was Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch, a great pasta restaurant to visit in Euljiro! With its great atmosphere, it's also a good restaurant near Myeongdong Station for a date in Euljiro! I'll be sure to visit again next time I'm in the Myeongdong area :)
