Hanam restaurant with a baby chair before a dol photoshoot: Jjukkumi
In short
Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) restaurant in Chungung-dong, Hanam, Gyeonggi, that cooks with perilla oil. The writer borrowed a baby chair before her baby's first-birthday photoshoot and ordered two perilla-oil jjukkumi set meals (₩13,000 each) plus a seafood pancake (₩15,000), refilling the perilla-oil seaweed soup along the way. It was easy even with a baby, and dessert ice cream and coffee were waiting at the end.

I was hunting for somewhere to eat before my baby's first-birthday (dol) photoshoot when I found this Hanam jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) spot, Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch. If you love jjukkumi, you have to stop by here. Maybe it's the good perilla oil they use, but the taste is genuinely different! We had plump, tender jjukkumi and a delicious seafood pancake — a properly satisfying meal ✨

Location, parking, and hours
📍 5 Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea ⏰ Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun 11:00–21:00 Closed every Thursday 🚘 Parking available in the lot in front of the store
There's plenty of parking out front, and there are cafés nearby too, so it's a quiet out-of-the-way spot that's good for a meal followed by a coffee run. But somehow word got out about this place — it was seriously popular, so many customers 👍🏻👍🏻

A sign explaining the perilla oil they use
The perilla oil isn't sold separately — it's just a sign letting you know they use good perilla oil. It tasted so good I wanted to buy a bottle to take home!!!!

Shin Ramyun, Jin Ramyun Mild, Anseong Tangmyeon! I'm craving ramyeon now. Everyone knows the best ramyeon of all is Hangang ramyeon, right?..

Inside the restaurant and the baby chair
The interior is decorated in a really cute, cozy way, and the restroom is inside too. Once we walked in, the restaurant was bigger than I expected.
Baby chairs are ready to go too :) I've been taking my baby out to eat a lot lately, and whether or not a place has a baby chair really matters. It's the one thing I always search for before heading to any restaurant ⭐️👍🏻

What we ordered and how much it cost
Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch menu
Perilla-oil jjukkumi set, ₩13,000 x 2

Seafood pancake, ₩15,000. That's what we ended up ordering. They also had monkfish stew and fresh codfish soup on the menu, so I liked that a group could come and try a variety of dishes — and the jjukkumi set being only ₩13,000 is super cheap.

Perilla-oil seaweed soup and side dishes like a full Korean course
The seaweed soup that comes as a default side has perilla oil in it. No meat in it, but it's so tasty. Clean, simple seaweed soup, through and through >.< It was so good I refilled it once!

Kimchi, jellyfish salad, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). The side dishes were really clean and neat, like something from a full-course Korean restaurant.

There was salad too, and salted pollock roe drizzled all over with perilla oil :) This genuinely could not taste bad ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Even looking at the photo right now I'm craving it again.. I was too full to eat much of it that day, but I feel like I could eat way more next time!!!!!!
Using that seaweed soup refill~

The seafood pancake has squid and jjukkumi in it
The seafood pancake has squid and jjukkumi in it, and it's really good. My husband always insists on ordering a side dish, so we ordered it out of necessity, but it turned out to be delicious, you know?????>.< Get the seafood pancake too.

Stir-fried jjukkumi and sot-bap (pot rice)
Here comes the stir-fried jjukkumi. It's not spicy, with just a hint of smoky wok flavor, and it's packed with plump jjukkumi — mixing it into the rice is absolutely the best.

The rice comes as sot-bap (pot rice) . . 😮 Mixing freshly-made, wholesome pot rice with the stir-fried jjukkumi — how could that not be amazing?

Hello there, plump jjukkumi.

A hearty meal before the dol photoshoot — next time, with the parents
Mixed into the rice, I cleared the bowl in no time. Ate a good, filling meal and headed off to my baby's first-birthday photoshoot feeling ready. It was so good I found myself thinking, wait, there was a place like this here????? I need to bring my parents next time — there were a lot of older folks eating there too, which tells you how much word has gotten around about this place. It's so good, I'm definitely going back ~~ 😝💛

There's dessert ice cream and coffee too! I was in a rush so I couldn't have the ice cream.. Places with ice cream are rare these days, but this one has it, so try it with an Americano >.<
